  1. The ol' vertical crank bait - why didn't I think of that???? Thanks, brother
  2. We can trailer to the weigh in, if I read the rules correctly?
  3. I know, I know - this isn't the "Table Rock" forum.... Thought I'd see if anyone had been to the Rock lately.. I'm doign that big bass deal this weekend.. F&F and I have been visiting, and if anyone has been there recently with an idea, I'd appreciate it! Last year and again this year, I was one of the first 100 entries, so I get the Quantum/made for Oakley rod. I'm fishing with the house's money I figure it'll take at least 5.0-5.5 pounds to win an hour. I've never won anything at fishing (as far as money - I win every time I get to go!), so hitting an hour would be cool! I figure just go hunting for beds and try to pick one big gal up? What do y'all think?
  4. Everett-Maxey Tournament Director issued an email to everyone that is on the offical email list (participants) the Monday or Tuesday after the tournament laying out what happened, if I remember correctly. I've sent him a note asking if it would be ok to share that here. Please don't take offense to that, fellas - I try to be really careful and midful of others' information. I've got a couple of spots to this day that I can't / won't share with anyone because when I was shown, a buddy would say something like "Hey Joe, this is one of my favorite spts, so it's just you and me, ok?" I figure lots of folks know about the spots, but I want to always be know as trustworthy. I would imagine that since the info was put in an email to over a coulpe hundred people, that "privacy", as it were, shouldn't be assumed. But, out of respect for the Director, I'll wait to hear from him.
  5. I entered December 2nd, I think it was - and that's only because you all wouldn't let me enter sooner LOL!!! Love the tournament, and really appreciate how you all make a low skilled guy feel like a big shot when I bring a little 3.5 up to the scales so my daughter can see daddy. Just love this tournament! We'll see you all in Branson around 5:00 PM
  6. If it's snowing in the morning, I'm going to clear water and throwing a spook. I think between the barometer staying low when it snows (I think that's the only way snow can come down - if the barometer stays low) and the snow melting as it hits the top of the water, becoming heavier, and creating that mini-churning effect on the top couple of feet of water; the top water bite should always be outta sight when it snows. That, or maybe the bass just get hungry when they think of snow flakes :-)
  7. ok, you all are a barrel of laughs :-) come to find out, it's somewhere aroumd the Viola Launch? buddy calls it Turkey Creek because they always see turkeys there - figures!!
  8. he ain't lying either. poor fella looks like a lobster someimes.
  9. I"m glad you and lil J had a great time. Of course, I think I enjoyed the look on your face in the picture even better... So, tell us, were you high, or had you just farted
  10. Hi everyone, I'm new to this particular part of the board (I live in Springdale and visit on the Beave Lake Board most of the time). Anyway, I'm planning a trip to Table Rock, and a buddy suggested Turkey Creek? I can't find it on google / bing (I have a Table Rock map, but it's at the house and I'm at work right now lol!!) If anyone could lend some directions or landmarks to help me locate Turkey Creek, I'd be obliged. Thanks a bunch, Joe
  11. If I may suggest something for thought in regards to light lures on a baitcast - the BPS Pro-Lite reels will throw a weightless fluke (10lb line) about 25-30 yards. They are great for lighter lures - if you wanted to give one a try.
  12. I'll shoot some of the guys inthe club a note and see if anyone has particular details - will share iof I hear anything.

    Big Rain!

My wife has one of those above ground box gardens that she uses to raise herbs. bottom of the box is just above waist high. Planted two weeks ago, and we've been covereing / uncovering that thing seems like every other night lol! F&F: Reckon what we talked about earlier this week will work for me / my son tomorrow and Saturday, or do I need to go the "PM" route for another coaching session??
  14. I mean, I've "heard things"....
  15. Reckon it'll go back like a few years ago when the "Dinner Bell" would go off in Blackburn and the topwater bite would be nuts for an hour at a time?
  16. I thought of you twice on Saturday, brother. I was throwing a DT-16 crankbait and caught two Crappie over 15"! Maybe you need LARGER lures LOL! The sad thing is that all I could catch were those two Crappie - and couldn't sniff a bass (white, largemouth, spot, nada)...
  17. Well, the little man hung in with us (wasn't terribly cold) Friday! We ended up running to Neil's Bluff for a couple of hours and worked our way back towards 412 bridge. Didn't catch but a couple little ones, but saw something I hadn't seen before - Carp (I think?) jumping completely out of the water? Straight up in the air, then would fall back into the water tail first (like straight up, then straight down). 24"-30" fish with a maroon back - I guess it was carp? several hundred of them in one little chute on the left before you get to Neil's Bluff.
  18. thank you sir - I'll post how it goes. Might end up me, my work buddy, and...... the 8 year old on the phone checking on us from the house lol!!!
  19. Hey everyone, I'm taking a buddy from work along with his son out to the lake tomorrow for a couple of hours after work. I am hoping some of you can lend a little advice on the whites? I've read the posts, and looks like there are some good times to be had with the whites running, but I'm a little confused (nothing new there!!): "Walker Bluff" - Where is that? 412 Launch - Has anyone lauched at 412 lately and run towards either Blue Springs or Neil's Bluff? If so, are the whites that direction yet? We live in Sonora, so if the whites are close to Blue Springs, that would obviously give the most fishing time. Are y'all throwing rattle traps - has anyone tried an A-Rig for whites? My son caught a few whites (and a couple NICE Crappie) on a dang Megabass jerk bait a couple weeks ago. But, the young man I'm taking tomorrow (my buddy's son) is only 8, and I don't really feel good about turning him loose with a megabass oneteen just yet :-) Any tidbits, or advice on direction ot try tomorrow between 5:00 and dark is greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch, Joe.
  20. Anyone ever seen a color in the old Wiggle Warts called "Ozark Craw"? If so, would you mind sharing a picture, please? I have looked all over the internet and can't fins a picture.
  21. "Hi, I'm Joe, and I suck at keeping up as much as I should on here"
  22. Well bud, I can't promise any fish, but I can get you out and show you the lake. I'd hate for you to think that we're not friendly around here I'm not too swift with the whole pm thing. if you can figure out how to make one, let me know if Saturday's are good for you. heck, we may evem bring Jason (J-Doc) along
  23. It's all good - Maybe if you feel bad enough you can give me some tips on catching one like in your profile picture - what a beauty!
  24. I noticed last Sunday that someone was kind enough to put some rocks and such in the first couple of "lanes" (on your right as you look TOWARDS the water). I wondered what that was.....
