Fishing shoes to with you fishing Jersey
jolicious replied to 176champion's topic in Table Rock Lake
If you want a pair of Spots, they come in size 12 or larger, Large Mouth in 15 or larger. If you want something smaller than size 12, I'd suggest a pair of "Crappie Style", but I think they only start at size 10 maybe? -

I looked online for two hours trying to find where to buy them -
I don't know if there is a name for this method, but years ago (before we "knew better" - yet caught more fish) we would Texas rig a worm on a wide gap hook then put a sheet metal screw in the other end of the worm. The hook was on top and the screw-weighted bottom would give a base from which the worm would coil / uncoil when the line was pulled. Might have to do that again just for bold time's sake.

Thank you. That means a lot. Seriously.

First attempt at painting some crackle-warts is not what I would call success, but I will call it valuable learning: 1. Can't use anything other than straight acrylic paint. 2. Must cover the crackle medium with plenty of paint or else the clear coat won't settle Correctly. 3. Paint dries a little lighter than when not using crackle medium.

thank you

I haven't yet, but I am actively looking for a way to add UV to a few lures.

The previews for this movie look so awesome. But, the previews also lead me to believe that there will be a horse dying scene. I'm a complete wuss about that stuff. For CHRISTmas this year my wife bought me a hoodie that reads "I don't care who dies in a movie as long as the dog lives". Unfortunately for my movie going experience, it's true. Thanks to everyone for discussing the movie here - I appreciate the info

I want to finish top ten in our company's annual bass tournament. It's on Table Rock this year, so I am hopeful! We have 260-300 boats each year, so top ten is a lofty goal.

Missouri Craw Schedule I found online (I don't know the wiggle wart number for it): miss craw pink- wicked Driscoll tone, wicked crimson, creat. Transparent white, createx orange, reducer. Heat bait first. belly- wicked crimson, createx orange, Fluor. Orange bars/back- wicked detail moss green, wicked phalatco(sp) green, forest green. Mostly moss by far. Eye- createx opaque red, createx bright red, wicked burnt umber. Dipped with appropriately sized highlighter pen tip. 1/4" pupil opaque black. The back and bars could be lighter. Just the moss green may be best or add in some leaf green to see how that goes.

With my color shift paints (Spaz Stix), I use only their specific "backer" base coats: White, Silver, Hi-gloss Black

"Easier because Joe can do it" - Geez Louise, Mr. Dave hahahahaha! You're right, it is a lot easier. Hobby Lobby carries a little (4 ounce maybe?) jar of "Crackle Medium" Miss Sherry got it for me, so I don't know the exact price, but I'm pretty sure it's less than $5. From the amount I used on that bait, I'd conservatively guess that I'll get 35+ baits out of a single jar I hope that the link below leads to the YouTube video I watched about this method. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a1MwOFnyr8 One other note - The first two pictures are the same lure - I am really enjoying learning how to get colors to shift with angles of light.

Has anyone messed with Crackling Medium on baits? First attempt, and I like it. I see potential laying down light base colors, then crackle medium, then a darker shad over the top on craw-imitating baits.

You read the press release wrong, broth Ham. It was "stripPers".. Part of a new Stimulus Package...

"They" are assuming that, if someone truly bought $6,000,000 in bonds; the government could be trusted to pay the interest. I don't trust it would happen. I told a buddy that I wouldn't do the annuity because I am not confident that the money will be there for 30 years.

Powerball is projected to be $675,000,000 Saturday night. Assume that someone is the only winner, and they take lump sum: Jackpot: $675,000,000 Lump Sum (60%): $405,000,000 Federal Taxes: $160,380,000 State Taxes: $28,350,000 Net lump sum: $216,270,000 The Fellas in my office are teasing me that "Joe would go buy a different V-21 from Legend for every day of the week". I told them that if I suddenly came into $216 million, I'd absolutely buy a new V-21 - But I still wouldn't ever buy a $400 Roman Swimbait Got me to thinking - Say you won the lottery, what would be your one ultra-wasteful, just for fun because now I can "thing" be? Donations, family help, church money, we'd all have our pet stuff to do. I am just curious as to how many different hair-brained ideas each of us have... Mine is simple: As I said, I'd buy a new V-21. As soon as it was finished, I'd take my current baby back to Legend, and ask them to remove the motor and refinish the entire boat: New gel coat, rub rails, seats, carpet - help her look brand new. When ready, I'd pick her up (without the motor) and carry her home, where she would be placed in the floor of my newly finished "Guy's Room". Forevermore; anytime I watched a ball game, fishing show, etc. in the Guys' room, I'd be sitting in my all time favorite boat

Who is willing to admit they are fishing this year's Polar Bear?
jolicious replied to J-Doc's topic in Beaver Lake
I was flipping bushes in 3'-4' of water in Rocky Branch. Only caught one keeper - and he was the epitome of a squeaker... I probably turned him over three or four times on the board to make sure his tail barely swept the 15" mark. As I was telling Champ, I let that bass go around 1:30 to male sure I made it home in time for the Hogs in the Liberty Bowl; that turns out to be today anyways hahaha!! Still was a great time as always to start the new year on the lake. -
