  1. I told me buddy the other day that we needed to make one that'll extend to 30' and call it the "Ozark Lockdown"
  2. Just messing around trying to see what I can see around the Long Creek area (that's where Oakley weigh in will be)
  3. Permit in hand (well, wallet!). Thank you for the ideas - I'll check the map
  4. Guess I could add that our condo is on the Dam side of Branson. I can't remember the road, it's over by the Lawrence Welk Theater
  5. Do y'all think I'll get away with launching at Moonshine, or maybe Long Creek Friday / Saturday April 4/5?
  6. Well that's a good point. OK, twist my arm lol!!!! I'll bring the beast
  7. Sweet mercy - I guess I didn't realize that the pros would be on the Rock that first weekend in April. We will be at our condo in Branson Thursday through Sunday. I was going to mess around and fish a little getting ready for Oakley (and bring along my daughter for some perch jerking). I might need to leave the boat at home and just shop with the girls all weekend!
  8. You play with colors more than I lol!!
  9. Quill that was the first tourney (3-1-14). Lot more sacks yesterday. My buddy and his little girl won the whole thing with just about 18lbs and big bass (5.90). We are almost in spring fishing on the Beav lol!!
  10. Molder Hollow (close to point 4)
  11. 48° in the back of sailboat cove
  12. Been out of town all week, and trying to put together some lake time tomorrow if work permits. Anybody know the water temp up around the Clifties? Please and thank you.
  13. P.S. I have donated to the "Bill Bass Free Cell Phone" foundations of Table Rock, Beaver, Swepco, Lake Woodruff (FL), and Bull Shoals. I rarely take my phone out of the console when on the water and dang sure rarely answer if it's a phone call - I think I have used up all Miss Sherry's good gracious in regards to asking for new phones lol!
  14. Sorry brother! By the time I got the message we were loaded (my brother works nights so we loaded around noon so he could get some sleep). I'll add what I know to the 3-15 report: my son caught a little 2.5lb black way up in War Eagle on a Cole slaw spinner bait. Boat was in 10', but he was casting to a gravel bank that was really shallow. Fish was as light as a white bass - I think it's safe to say they are moving up from deep now. I am not sure how far up river we went, but I think dollar hole maybe?
  15. It was a fun obstacle course. Kind of felt like a slalom course
  16. I'm in the same boat. 3 good an two that are not so good...
  17. Born in DeLand, FL. But moved to NWA when I was a baby. Since all the family on both sides was still in FL, I tell folks that I grew up in AR (during school days) and FL (during summers). Spring and fall were spent fishing with my neighbors at Lake Sequoyah, the White River, and Beaver Lake. Summer was a completely different story... My cousins Rick and Ron Rawlins took over the family fish camp in DeLand on the St. John's River. Every summer I fished Lake Monroe, East Toho, Lake Woodruff, and Lake Glenn. Bryn, Rick's daughter runs the Highland Park Fish camp to this day, matter of fact ;-)
  18. Well that's a good point!!
  19. Hence the hugs....
  20. I lost three jigs that got stuck in ICE in about an hour - and promptly returned home to watch Disney Jr. With lil bit ;-)
  21. We shared a parking lot during "The Great Snow-Out" at Daniel's tourney a couple weeks ago, buddy. You change your guess all you want and I'll back ya ;-)
  22. 79lb4oz
  23. I haven't thrown the first one, brother. I sponsor some junior Bassmasters in their monthly tourneys and the lures always seem to end up in the youngn's tackle bags lol
  24. Amen on not selling them - it becomes more of a business if you do that, or so I would think. Do you like jerk baits and / or rattling lipless? Maybe we could "swap" a few back and forth :-)
  25. Great... Noe I gotta get fly gear...
