  1. I see that x-rap is still being good to you, I think I will have to dig my clown colored one out and catch some this weekend on it.
  2. Nice report! That would be awesome to get into those hybrids when they start biting. If they hang out in the same area hit them early or late.
  3. I use 6 or 8 lb mono on spinning, or 10 to 15 lb braid. 12 or 14 mono on baitcaster.
  4. Looks like a good day of fishing!
  5. I fully understand Eric, hopefully it will get better some day. Two fellas I work with fished a creek yesterday and complained about not catching any keepers, caught 90 between them they said. I took it like they were looking for a fish fry and came up short, kept some perch and goggleye they said.
  6. That's the first regulation I would try to get changed.
  7. I wish I had a bag with me today, 6 to 12 cans on every gravel bar.
  8. Took my oldest boy wading this afternoon and headed out to check out this log jamb. You could walk a canoe down thru it fairly easy, have to slide it over a few logs. Fishing was good, soft plastics worked the best.
  9. I just started doing the same thing with the iPhone thanks to Cricket.
  10. I have several pairs of the Gerbers, use them quite a bit. Lost the pair that was the extreme needle nose marketed for fishing pliers. It was being used by my uncle and my son cleaning a bunch of white bass on a dock, it was clamped down on it's jaw when the carcass got tossed into the water. oops
  11. Gravel bar camping and fishing is tops! Great report!
  12. Great summary of the trip Al. I just got home from my float with Cricket and I am beat! I had great time fishing even if it was tough. It was nice meeting everybody that came out, just a good bunch of guys! Food was Awsome, thanks Gavin and Mitch.
  13. Great pictures! You guys caught some good smallies.
  14. Looks good Gavin. I got the sides covered. Can't wait to get on the river.
  15. Great picture corndawg! Good job on the fish catching boys.
  16. I am planning on getting there Thursday afternoon and floating fri. Sat. and possibly Sunday. How many are planning on floating friday morning? Just checking to see if I need to call ahead to arrange a shuttle for that day. Let me know what side dish would be good to bring for Friday night.
  17. Great pictures! I would love to do a trip like that someday.
  18. I'm planning on being there, will be tent camping.
  19. They do it on the Elk river also, lots of binocular work and radios to stop them down river of where they littered. Sometimes they have a jet boat on there working there way up river.
  20. If you haven't used one before just be patient and don't give up. I have some bass pro models that are close to 10 years old and still working fine.
  21. I would like to make it if I can. Get a date picked out and I will try and plan on it. Both locations sound great to me.
  22. Black perch is what my Dad always calls them, perfect bait for limb lines.
  23. I'm glad your safe Buzz. I work Sundays unfortunately, so I was at work when it came thru. Don't want to experience that again. Luckly everyone made it unharmed, blew in a lot of the large overhead doors and ripped off sections of the roof. Everyone crouched down in the concrete pits that we have to inspect trucks from underneath. When the roof and doors went it was a little unreal feeling, luckily we were just on the edge of it, could have been much worse. Had a crane out there today putting 29 trailers back right side up that were tossed around. My boys were at my parents in Joplin, so I was worried about them and left work as soon as the storm passed. I had no idea how bad the rest of town was so I just hit rangeline and headed north. That was the worst feeling driving along and seeing it go like yep that's tornado damage to looking like a bomb went off. Some how I made it all the way north to zora and found my boys safe and got them home to my worried wife. Thanks to all the people helping or praying for the victims of this disaster.
