  1. Well, my Tigers lost, but was supposed to be a transition year turned out not too bad. Coach Anderson gets these kids to work their butt off for him... regardless of any individual players shortcomings. Couldn't hit their free throws and missed way to many chances under the basket. West Virginia is big and strong though. Looking forward to Tiger football... As for the NCAA tourney... GO BIG XII. Especially K-State...
  2. You kiddin' me? This KU team bowed out? 2nd round! That's all right KU fans. We got beat by them also more than a few years back. West Virginia... here we go!
  3. Ollie, I haven't fished down there. My wife has some family in Batesville. Visited a couple of times. Can't give you a better report than the guys who have already, but I'll guarentee you it ain't wadeable. It's wide down there.
  4. Thanks Bill. My In-laws are now in Cassville. Moved from the Knob after 20 years. Sold his boat, still got mine. Looks like I've gotta figure out the Eagle Rock area. Fished that area some, but nothing like I'd mentioned. Good luck with all your ventures... KC
  5. Bill, why don't you head up to the dirty water this time of year? Or do you? And when you talked about the Twin Rivers area around the Kings, is that around the island or just south of it on the Kings? Or west on the White? I know you can catch deep water fish on the Rock and wait for the big girls in your area... I'm more of a stream guy, but... I fished the Campbell Point to the White/ Kings confluence from '92 to '09. I love the Rock. I know you do to.
  6. Heeeeere Piggy Piggy...
  7. I'll never forget that day BnB. God bless your cousin...
  8. Not being negative Gator, just wondering cause I'm not sure, but would it (or could it) be possibly harmful to a freshwater stream like the Meramec to run a boat on it that's been in saltwater without flushing out whatever and washing down the exterior?
  9. I forgot all about LaCygne. Bill B. is right... I had a great morning there at the cable a long while back. Only problem was that my arsenal wasn't heavy enough. I'd definitely give LaCygne a shot...
  10. That is no way to eat a pepperoni pizza while using the computer Ness! And on a sidebar sort of thing... kinda looks like a get together is questionable. My dad was a cop for 27 years... seems you're as good as him! KUDO'S
  11. On the Kansas side, Wilson or Milford are great hybrid spots. Fish the humps and read the reports.
  12. Enjoying himself... while the rest of us spew crap on a forum which we should be sharing fishing stories.
  13. The Claycomo plant here in KC makes the F-150, Escape, and Escape Hybrid.
  14. Don't look over your shoulder while you're fishing. It ain't as much fun. And... you're goldfish are now safe!
  15. Completely understand gotmuddy. I do enjoy fishing your Arkansas waters down there as well as my Missouri waters. Missouri has plenty of beautiful scenery, but Arkansas scenerey kicks butt.
  16. Criiiiiiiiiket! PM material! I've met Flysmallie and... well... he ain't small! (But he's got a sense of humor).
  17. Looks like you're on to the remedy for that fever. We had stuff to take care of down in Moran, Ks. Be back down soon Buzz! KC
  18. Just a guess, but out of the nearly 10,000 people on this forum who are surely paying attention to this thread, I'm willing to bet there's a few groups of who knows how many who have been able to get together and make a difference in there community, church, the MDC, or whatever. Sheer numbers were the difference no doubt. In the same aspects, I'd bet there's a few individuals who have, all by their lonesome, managed to accomplish the same. Myself? I ain't done squat, except play by the rules and enjoy what my state has to offer. See ya on the river...
  19. Afternoon kind gentlemen. I would like to iterate that I am a seasoned city boy ingrained with toughness and street smarts. I am by no means EVEN fazed by the aforementioned species that seem to inhabit the Crane Creek vicinity. However, I would like to inquire if there by chance be any winged insects that possess the ability to apply a sting, i.e.; wasps I've heard could be one, bumblebee's (do they actually exist?) and how do they bumble? Yellowjackets? I had believed these to be dissenter's from our glorious Union army during the war. I've also been forwarned of pinching beasts called crawdads or cray... fish... is it? I shutter at the thought of an unprovoked attack from these hideous creatures! Surely you've tired of my inquisitions, but one more question need be answered. I've heard tale of plants of certain types that either poison you with terrible afflictions or rip your flesh to the bone with protrudements which may inflict their pain from great distances! If any of you rough around the edge rural types could kindly confirm these type of malcontents exist at Crane, please do. In the mean time... I've got bridge night til' 10:00 and a Pay Day Loans store to hold up at 11:00.
  20. I know the issues concerning the problems horseback riding causes on the lower Jacks Fork have been or are being looked at. I have no idea how far along they've gotten on it or if anything has or will ever be done.
  21. Al, let me say first of all, I'm naive to the way things work between the MDC and our state or federal governments (I'm sure there'll be someone who knows exactly how it works and chime in Maybe Jay Nixon. Anyway... seems like the MDC needs to update their float stream book. And to you rich landowners... you ain't worth a response. Finally, to my fellow MSA members... here's hoping for some deep pockets (unfortunately).
  22. Jeez... time for us tobacco chewin', cigar smoking, whiskey drinking, beer guzzlin', Bible thumpers to get together for a... heck what would you call it, a retreat or a fishin' trip?
  23. Surely you're not putting down this forum with that comment Matt. I'm gonna ask permission here in the next few days to become a member of MSA's forum. Since I'm a member, hopefully I'll be accepted. It would be interesting to see what kind of knowledge the 200 plus members are sharing...
  24. Phil lets us all have a say Matt... even Ness. Kinda weird how he follows certain peoples posts...
  25. Eric... we ALL need to get a life! Let's just go fishing... by the way, you got a baby yet?
