  1. J, don't get me wrong I love fishing at night especially in the spring and fall. I just usually leave the big lakes alone in July-Aug because of the crowds. You will find me on some river somewhere throwing a blade or buzzbait most of the time during the summer
  2. I have had a few people ask and $300 is my bottom dollar for the entire lot. I just listed on CraigsList also and I will keep it updated.
  3. Nice job Jason! Todd and I fished those tournaments together for several years and that is a great group of guys down there. I highly recommend the series if someone is borderline on fishing it. I finally hit the water at after dark last night and caught a few but I had a lot of practice cast except for 2 tree clusters where I caught 6 including a couple in the 4lb+ range. It was nice to get out on the water at night again and pretty peaceful up around Indian. If anyone is interested I have some unpainted jig, chatterbait and spinnerbait heads listed in the "buy, sell, trade" section
  4. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to mess with making baits for anyone besides myself so I am selling the stuff I won't eventually make. Below is a list of unpainted heads I have and I would prefer to sell things in pretty large numbers. If someone wants to make me an offer on everything I am open to that as well. Cash only with local pick up in the Nixa/Springfield area. 100 - 3/8oz Open Eye Jig (chatterbait head) - $40 100 - 3/8oz Open Eye Jig weedless (I have some weedguards that you will need to epoxy in) - $45 110 - 1/2oz Open Eye Jig weedless (I have some weedguards) - $50 120 - 3/8oz B Spin Guppy Lite Wire Spinnerbait heads - $60 50 - 1/2oz B Spin Guppy Lite Wire Spinnerbait heads - $30 50 - 3/4oz B Spin Guppy Lite Wire Spinnerbait heads - $35 50 - 1oz B Spin Guppy Lite Wire Spinnerbait heads - $40 50 - 1oz Weedless Pro Football Jigs (I have some weedguards) - $40 50 - 1/2oz Weedless Pro Football Jigs (I have some weedguards) - $30 Just reply or message me with any questions
  5. I had a church call for me for a quote on a camera system the other day after they had several cars have gas siphoned out of their tank during service. It is unbelievable what people will do.
  6. I believe they are worth around $150 a piece. Central Air Units are a big deal now as I have sold a lot of camera systems lately pointed directly at their units especially churches.
  7. Sorry to hear about your stuff and unfortunately it is becoming more common these days. One of my jobs is with SecureNet Alarm systems so please let me know if I can help with anything. There are a couple different options depending on power supply, internet, etc. You can get a standard 4 camera system with DVR for around $1500 installed which includes a 3yr warranty on all parts and labor. Again sorry to hear and just let me know if I can help.
  8. I fished from 5:30am until 1pm on Thursday and thought I felt fine until I got off the water and got sick as a dog on the drive home. I drank some fluids and after a few hours I felt alright but it wasn't fun for a while. Fishing was decent as I caught some on swimbait, crank and football jig...nothing huge but caught 13 with 5-6 keepers (had 3 good brownies). Might head down and night fish tonight but haven't decided if I want to mess with it.
  9. A little surprised by the results from the Joe Bass tournament on Sunday...2 bags over 20 and 19 was 3rd. I didn't see if it fell off the planet after that but that is pretty good anytime of year but especially now with this heat. I usually play on the rivers in the area this time of year but will make a trip down on Thurs just to see if I am missing something.
  10. Here is another article with a little more info...threw back the dead 5lber and went through all this for a couple bass around 3lbs News Journal Story On the day of the tournament, the agents watched the site. They saw Gann fishing in a boat by himself near the site, Burton said, and they watched him remove fish from the box. They saw him throw away the five-pound bass that was dead and put the other two bass in his boat's live well. The tournament weigh-in was at Osage Bluff Marina. After Gann's catch was weighed, conservation agents and Missouri Water Patrol officers took possession of the fish. They found fish with fins clipped by agents before the tourney began. Gann was questioned and taken into custody by Water Patrol officers.
  11. Just curious if this guy fishes a lot of tournaments up that way. I don't really know the name but don't fish much up at Truman. KY3 Story The Sedalia Democrat reported that 72-year-old David R. Gann of Warsaw entered a not guilty plea this past week in Benton County to a theft charge. The Missouri Department of Conservation says anglers came across a wire box before the June 4 tournament at Truman Lake. It contained a dead largemouth bass weighing more than 5 pounds and two smaller ones weighing 2 and 3 pounds. The fins of the live bass were clipped for future identification. Mike Burton of the Conservation Department says agents saw Gann remove fish from the wire box on the day of the tournament. The department says the fish with clipped fins were submitted at the weigh in.

  13. Something in the air today Bill...I was reeling in a nice smallmouth and all of sudden she jumped and my football jig shot out right into the top of my passenger windshield. Needless to say I have a nice chunk out of the top of it now and will call my buddy at Polyfab tomorrow.
  14. I really need to throw a topwater more during the day. I just need to take all my rods out of the boat except 1 redfin rod and just go for it I was fishing Cow on Fri and off 4 little stretches of cedars I caught 9 good keeper blacks on a blade
  15. Great report and the swimbait bite is a lot of fun. I am addicted to it and have been throwing it since Feb.
  16. Thanks Champ! Friday I finally got on the blade bite good with some good blacks suspended in cedar trees on creek points...nothing like a 4lb black train wrecking a blade going 100mph
  17. Thank you! I throw top left probably 75% I am fishing on Table Rock or Bull Shoals...just my confidence bait and I usually throw with colored blades because I don't think fish see that as much and it has a different vibration. I haven't fished TRock in a couple weeks but I am going to pull an all nighter tomorrow night I think.
  18. I throw a single spin or swim a jig about 90% of the time and with the water up that pattern should be good for a while...just tough to cast. Short pockets and points for me now.
  19. First off let me say I don't sell any of my stuff locally so I am not trying to promote my stuff in any way...just showing some colors I do well on
  20. Wish I had more info but I haven't been at night since before the water came up in April. I know June is usually one of the best months of the year for night fishing and it looks like some guys are catching them.
  21. Well said Champ! One thing I will add for me is I use a 7'3" or 7'6" rod with 17lb mono and make LONG cast. I don't parallel banks because brownies will sometimes hit you out so I make around 30-35 degree angle cast. Also, on the tree flats I will burn by iso trees 4 or 5 times before I move to the next one and the best trees seem to be the ones you can't see. The end of May thru June I can usually do this but I can't get on them this year.
  22. The June 10th Mill Creek Friday nighter was won with 20.22 then 17 and 3 bags of 15+ to get in top 5
  23. Usually in June I can catch them burning (right under the surface as fast as you can get them in) a 3/4oz blade with double #4 willows but have had to slow roll a 4/5 combo this year...don't ask me why. In 2008 I caught them all summer burning it with the higher water so I am hoping there will be some shallow fish to play with this year now that the water has come down a bit. Concerning colors I usually throw something with a hint of pink in the clearer water and a couple different sexy shad patterns in the colored water.
  24. When the water is normal I usually catch several walleyes cranking main lake points for post-spawn bass in June...mostly from Joe Bald to Big Creek. Last year I caught some good ones suspended in trees on swimbaits in June but I haven't caught any yet this year doing that. I have never caught one on the other side of Kimberling City bridge and most are around Baxter.
  25. Catch-N-Release only in the month of May would be a great thing but it will probably never happen
