  1. Only a couple times years ago when the PB Club was still there. Stayed Winnebago and north mainly.
  2. Same thing I heard. Im just hoping that the two golf courses now under his umbrella open. Sounds like one will and one wont. Cant fish all the time.
  3. Lake Geneva by chance? Ive been down here for 5 years from on Winnebago. You'll love it here. Make sure you take in Bull Shoals. Only Green Bay/Fox Walleyes can match the size you can run into over there. No drilling during the Winter either!!!!!
  4. Must be throwing it from shore by the looks of it. All hooked yet with 6" of water or trees behind him?
  5. That should be Southwest!
  6. The highest Barometric Pressure on Jan 17 2014 in Southeast Missouri recorded by the national weather service was 30.17 recorded at 4:52PM CDT
  7. According to KY 3 News the work is being done on the powersite dam which would probably make more sense.I wouldn't think the deep pool below the TR dam wouldn't drain even if they drew down 5 ft.
  8. Minimal brow tines if any at all and he almost appears past prime. You must have been getting close. He's really pushing a wake keep that distance between you. Great Pics.
  9. Good words Bill. Its ashame this is even a topic because of the 1% out there that will always exist. I enjoy reading your fishing posts alot more. Back to fishing!
  10. I post very seldom but find it hard to believe one of the most respected guides and prominent posters on this forum "doesn't feel the pain" of the unfortunate ones that have been stolen from by the thieves on the Rock. A lot of us have docks with slips , lockers etc that are private property and although reminded every year that we should watch our gear by the same poster, who fishes our docks, there are various reasons for leaving things somewhat accessible. Access to some docks are such that removing all items is no minor undertaking....especially after coming in after sunset and going back out at sunrise. All of us aren't loading our boats in our garages or driveways and trailering to Taneycomo one day, Bull Shoals the next and Big M or somewhere else on the Rock the next day.We pay dues, and spend hours maintaining and moving them Spring ,Summer , Fall and Winter. Docks are the same personal property as homes and your violated if stolen from either. I hope we don't get to the point in our society where we don't start "not feeling the pain" of those being violated by home invasions next. I can see my dock from every window in my home and a jet ski engine at 300yds is a much bigger target than the vitals on many of the deer and antelope I've taken at that range.
  11. Troy The HDS 5X Gen 1 I have mounted on the TM is a good unit for dropshotting but has updates available that from what I understand can't be downloaded unless you have another HDS (non X)on your network. Do the update(s) for this unit really improve performance or visuals and is there any way around the need for the network to update?Your seminar in some format suggestion could be a great help to a lot of us.
  12. Haven't been on for quite a while but will be moving down to TR full time the second week in December. Great site!!
  13. Can anyone help with information regarding the big blue gills on Table Rock. I understand crickets are the bait of choice at this time of year but any info on where the fish are normally located at this time of year and how they are fished would be appreciated. The small ones seem to be easy to locate but the big gills seem to elude us. Thanks for the info!
  14. Go to www.lowrance.com Search the website under self help. Im not familiar with the 26c but I had a similiar problem with my 334. Position acquired and then lost can be solved sometimes by resetting your unit. The hard reset will lose all information...Don't Do the soft reset and that may cure your problem. Enter "reset your Gps number" in the question box and it will walk you through it. Good luck.
  15. Is the water quality on Table Rock protected by not allowing fueling of boats on private( personal) docks/slips?. Have any regulations been imposed specifying what type of anti freeze can be used when "Winterizing"? The discharge when the boats are started in the Spring can affect water quality if not.
  16. I had the understanding last year that a valid Missouri fishing license was all that was required to fish in the tail waters of Table Rock over the Arkansas border. The new regulations for 2006 talk about a $10 border lakes permit. Can anyone clarify?
  17. Can anyone advise where the White Bass are in the spawn cyle on Table rock as of early this week. Specifically the Cricket Creek area. Am coming down late this week and with the 80's expected I would think things would change fast. Thanks
  18. I've noticed alot of postings referring to the swimmin minnow. It looks as though its used extensively in the Ozarks. Can anyone give me a quick primer on how its rigged and fished. Sounds as though its good for White bass and Crappies
  19. Just found your site last nite and was really impressed. I've lived my entire life in Wisconsin and have been an avid Walleye fisherman for many years. We'll be moving to the Rock in the next few years and already have property to build on and most importantly a boat slip. A boat will be coming down to stay the week of April 10th so I'll be a somewhat regular there. It sure is beautiful water and country. The first target will be Crappies and then whatever else happens. We've practiced catch and release for larger fish here for years to maintain the resource and am glad to hear most posts are the same there. Looking forward to being a resident and retired.
