Fished with my buddy Jeb today, still having to work to catch fish.
We launched at 0530 and motored up to a cove with trees and threw the jigs and some plastics around, I think we got 4 doing that. Fished a couple of rocky points and a brush pile, nothing doing there so we decided to head up to the Kings. We fished several spots on the Kings and only got one bass up there, so back up the White channel we went.
We did some drop shot fishing on a couple of gravel points, had some success doing that, mostly smaller fish in the 10-13" range. Fish were 15-25 feet deep, biting cut tail and finesse worms in watermelon and purple.
Fished a few rocky points on cove mouths, found one that gave us a few more fish on C-rigged worms and Speed Craws.
Last fish of the day was a keeper walleye caught by Jeb.
We finished with about 20 bass to the boat, maybe 4 were keepers, nothing over 2 lbs.
Water temp was 80.
