  1. Portis has definitely improved.
  2. Good to see the Hawgs beat a decent SEC team on the road. Ole Miss almost upset Kentucky. An interesting ranking system: http://kenpom.com/
  3. That's what I'm hoping, a better casting Shad Rap imitator.
  4. Yes I have made numerous hikes into the Alpine lakes wilderness in Washington state. Also a few into the Olympic Peninsula National Park. Hiking is very popular in the NW, there's a well used network of trails through out the mountains. Lots of lakes, some have trout, some don't. it's a a make your own adventure kind of thing, get some maps, use Google Earth, do some research, etc.
  5. It's colder than heck outside and very windy to boot, so I've been checking out the fishing tackle sites. Strike King has come out with an interesting finesse crank, the Lucky Shad. I might purchase a couple of these. Here's a review: http://wired2fish.scout.com/story/1499197-strike-king-pro-model-lucky-shad-review
  6. That's a mess of Goggle-eye. I bet they are tasty.
  7. Looks like a couple of cutthtroat in those first 2 pics? Pretty fish.
  8. The smaller ones are tasty, but the big ones taste like crap. In my opinion that is.
  9. Click on the speaker icon in the bottom left corner of the video frame, it's off and needs to be turned on.
  10. Thanks for posting that video - always good to see a fishing video filmed at a local lake.
  11. Yeah I saw that Randy Moss 30 for 30, good show BTW. If I recall, Moss had some trouble in the NFL, but nothing really serious. Heckuva player for sure.
  12. Wow, that is a big bass at 27". Too bad you didn't get a weight on it, but you did the right thing in releasing it.
  13. I wonder what round he'll get picked. I'm surprised he didn't play a year at Oklahoma, but maybe he thinks (or has been advised) that he'll go early in the draft.
  14. looking forward to it - I have set up to record.
  15. Another thought, you can pitch the swing jig/creature setup around docks like you would a jig also. Sometimes it works pretty well.
  16. Yep Biffle Bugs are great, and I also really like the Megastrike Megabug.
  17. About 30 years ago I had a co-worker and friend that was from Pennsylvania - he and his wife used to say "No big whup" instead of something like "No big deal". This is the first time I've heard anyone use that phrase since then.
  18. I'm partial to Green Pumpkin and Dirt when it comes to Zinkerz. I'll also throw PB&J and GP/Orange.
  19. I've been using them quite a bit when the water is warm. My favorite setup would be a 1/2 oz weight with a 4/0 EWG hook fishing a beaver or creature type bait on it.
  20. Yeah, not enough time in a day or days in the year to fish all the techniques and all the places I'd like to fish. I'll try my best however.
  21. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
  22. HAHA good one! And welcome, Bass Enforcer to the forum. Come down to the March 14th OA Big bass tournament out of Eagle Rock.
  23. Problem I have with a slip bobber is that when you move the cork, you'll pull the jig up.
