  1. Thanks for the update. Sounds like the last thing these guys wanted was the EPA prowling the hills looking for water quality violations.
  2. Yep good win, but not by the margin I expected. Houston's D played well.
  3. I am surprised also, but the argument could be made that it is justified.
  4. Wow, Mizzou ranked #5 in the AP poll!
  5. Congrats on the win!
  6. Carnage in the top 10 this week. I could see Mizzou coming out of this ranked anywhere from #5 to #8.
  7. The watermelon red Trick worm is a classic, glad to see you got into some!
  8. A Red Sox fan. I've been pulling for the Cards all year to make the series, but I'm a life long fan of the Sox dating back to the early late 60's when my family moved to Mass. from the Midwest. So let's hope for a Series for the ages, with the Sox pulling it out in a dramatic game 7.
  9. Yep, thanks for the report, always interesting to read what's going on on Lake Fork.
  10. I would think so, I've had good luck with Megabugs and Biffle Bugs on the swing hook setup. A good Megabug color for low light conditions is black/blue fleck body with blue appendages.
  11. You ain't kidding, they beat them up in the 2nd half. Next week SC and if I remember from the schedule that flashed up, I believe it's Tennessee after that. The Vols have played well this year at times, Mizzou doesn't want to overlook them.
  12. Felt more like a January morning out there today than October. Jeb and I threw the baits around this morning and managed to scratch out 10 black bass between the 2 of us. Almost all largemouth, with one spot in the bunch. Mostly caught on jigs up shallow, and a couple on c-rigged plastics. Lots of shad back in the backs of coves now, the bass seem to be back there with them, but they just weren't that active this morning. Water temps 67-69.
  13. I was out with fellow OA member Jeb today on Beaver. I would not go as far to say that it sucked, but I would categorize the fishing as tough, which is a step or two above suck. 10 bass between the two of us. However it sure beats going to the craft fair, wild horses couldn't drag me to that show.
  14. I'll be fishing, but the DVR will be recording in my absence.
  15. Wow, not the nail-biter that I expected.
  16. Had to do little editing.
  17. Yeah I am looking forward to the Denver vs KC games. My worry, is that in spite of the Chiefs defense, the Bronks get out ahead by a couple of TD's in the 2nd half forcing KC to play catch up. I have no confidence in Alex Smith leading the Chiefs from behind on the strength of his arm.
  18. Texans have announced they are going to start Casey Keenum against the Chiefs this week. Any guesses on how many times Keenum gets sacked? I'm saying eight.
  19. I could do without the spit flying in front of the camera lens, funny in a way, but good grief. I wasn't too impressed by the magnitude of that backlash either. I'd like to see him pick one of mine out.
  20. Some nice browns, fishing that mouse at night sounds like a great way to fish.
  21. I noticed quite a few empty seats in the outfield areas last night. Cards fans are much more deserving of having a team in the World Series.
  22. I can understand banning lead shot from shotgun shells, but not from rifle ammo. This is more of a move to appease the anti-hunting groups than anything. One more reason why I will never live in California.
  23. Not a given as the Cards now get to face Greinke and Kershaw again. Nice to see Holliday crunch one, sure would help if he gets hot, or at least lukewarm.
  24. I don't pay that much attention to them, I just go when I'm able to go. If I'm planning to go tomorrow morning and I happened to look at the solunar tables and the tables predicted it was going to be slow, I'd still go. And if the fishing turned out to be bad, then I'd have something to blame it on . Back in my salmon fishing saltwater days, tide phases were very important as to where the fish would be, lots of current was generated by tidal conditions.
