  1. My granddad, who lived in Kennett MO, used to fish Reelfoot back in the 60's. There wasn't a bridge over the Mississippi nearby at the time so they'd take a ferry across the river, if I recall, they brought their outboard, but rented a boat. They'd go over in the evening, fish all night, all the next day then come home. They'd catch a lot of fish (crappie and bream) but would always complain that on average the fish were a bit small. I never have fished it, but I've heard lots of stories.
  2. Thanks for the report, I'm a bit of a Gunfish fan myself, had several good mornings on one back in early summer.
  3. What, you're not predicting a Chiefs Super Bowl this year based on this one game??
  4. Pretty evenly matched, from a historical perspective.
  5. Please, no more jerkbaits....But I do have to say that it looks intriguing.
  6. October 13, Raiders at the Chiefs. Circle the date.

Next Saturday is the Bama at A&M game..
  8. It's been 3 years since I've used any bait, not that I have anything against it and I'll use it again in the future. Just mainly have been bass fishing, except for a couple of trips to Sardis MS to catch crappie and we pulled plugs to catch those. Maybe next spring I'll get some redworms and catch some bluegill and redear, we've got some good ones in the Bella Vista lakes.
  9. That Sunline is supposed to be the primo stuff, you'll have to let us know what you think.
  10. Welcome, Champ! I don't know if we can deal with having 2 Champs, dealing with one has been bad enough Good luck on your upcoming trip.
  11. Thanks for the report.
  12. You got to like it!

Samford was leading going into the 4th quarter? Samford??? Sheeesh.. Bielama better kick some butt. I'm seeing a few chinks in the SEC armor. Florida loses to Miami, last week Clemson beat GA, but GA beats #6 SC. That GA tailback, Gurley, is a load.
  15. Ebay is a good place to check, but make sure you buy from a reputable seller (check feedback). Basstackledepot.com currently has a %30 discount sale, I'd take a look there. Tacklecenter.com has a %40 sale going on some items, their reel inventory is slim, but I believe they carry Lews. Tacklewarehouse is a great online store, but I don't know that they have a sale going right now.
  16. Just for the record, last year Shimano changed their product line names. The old Curado is now called the Chronarch. Old Citica is now the new Curado. Paint is different but other than that, the same reels just rebranded. So, you may want to look at a Shimano Chronarch, which is the same as the old green Curado. It's less than $200 so it's in your price range. Lots of good reviews on the Lews. The Gen 3 Abu Garcia Revo STX's are another great reel, some folks don't like the large gear box on the STX so check that out if you consider one. You can pick them up, NIB on Ebay for around $160.00.
  17. Thanks for that update Bill. May have to drag the boat over there this week.
  18. 44 lbs., not bad considering the conditions.
  19. Alright! Get back out there and make those fish pay.
  20. Thanks for the heads up. I may have to do a little browsing.
  21. Yeah I'd say taking home $100,000 is a bonus. Winning is extremely important to those guys, being consistent is also important. Sponsors are also important. It's all important when you do it for a living.
  22. After interviews conducted at the preliminary hearing on August 17 were reviewed, five more felony counts were filed August 23 against James Crocker in regard to the July 20 gravel bar shooting of Paul Dart. Two counts of first degree class B felony assault and two counts of felony armed criminal action and one class D felony unlawful use of a weapon have been added to the charge of second degree murder of Dart. The five felonies were filed August 23, referencing a probable cause statement issued by a Crawford County sheriff’s detective on July 20, and are in regard to probable assaults on Robert and Regina Burgess, and Joshua Kling, present at the time of the shooting. Regina Burgess said at the time that another shot fired by Crocker had grazed her; a member of the sheriff’s department photographed reddened, but unbroken skin where Burgess said the bullet, or fragments, had struck her as evidence. Bond reduction for Crocker was denied August 21, and he remains in custody.
  23. Didn't know that, thanks.
  24. Abrazx is good stuff.
