  1. Rolled into the water around 10 AM and fished until 4:30 PM. Started out with the tube, picked up 4 keeper sized LM on it fairly quickly, then they just seemed to not like it anymore. Switched to c-rigging a craw and started picking up fish here and there, ended up with 20 or so total, mostly LM's, for some reason the spots were slow for me today. Nothing big, biggest about 2 lbs, with around 8 keeps. A lot of bassers out there today, and I mean a lot. A dozen rigs in the Big M lot and there seemed to be a boat on every point. Must be the nice weather today. Sadly, I saw my first water louse, buzzed by me about 50 yards away as I was working a flat. Things will only get worse as the weather warms.
  2. That's pretty darn good for 3 hours on the Beav, thanks for the report!
  3. Thanks guys, hopefully it will stay fishable.
  4. I hope they're a better option than using a finger!
  5. I saw some top water activity on Table Rock yesterday morning before the wind kicked up, they were off the bank out in the middle, I did not go after them - guess I should have tied on a spook.
  6. Is the water in good shape around Horseshoe Bend? Looks good from the picture, but sometimes it's hard to tell.
  7. Nice shots on the structure scan, nice boat also - looks like you're at Lost Bridge North?
  8. There was a debris line just upriver from Big M, but other than that there wasn't much out there as far as big logs or limbs. But a person should definitely exercise caution and keep an eye out.
  9. Wow, the guy is on fire! Came from 11th to take the win with an 18 lb. bag today. http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-bull-shoals-quest/leaderboard
  10. Congrats, some very nice fish!
  11. Fished the White river this morning, going up river from the Big M marina, the water gets progressively more brown, go down river a couple of miles you start getting into some green water with decent visibility. Caught most of my fish in the green water, but did get a few in the brown water late in the morning and early afternoon. Almost all on a tube, I think I did get one c-rigging a craw. 13 black bass total, 4 of those were smallies. 4 maybe 5 keepers. Water temp was 56 to start and saw 60 in the back of a cove before I left. Saw quite a few beds in the backs of coves when I looked around in the shallows, but only saw a couple of males sitting on beds, most of the beds were empty. Looks like another cold front coming through so it may back them off again, but once it warms up after the front, we should see some spawning fish.
  12. That's a big ol' flathead to hook on a spinnerbait. Thanks for the report.

  14. Scanlon now in the lead, he's shown at the weigh in holding a couple of smallies. Still looks to be wide open, any of the 12 final round qualifiers could win this with a big bag. http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-bull-shoals-quest/leaderboard
  15. Thanks for the report.
  16. Thanks for the report, buddy of mine was up the White yesterday, they caught around 20 dragging plastics, he said the water up there is brown but you can still catch fish.
  17. That's a Dry Creek tube in "Columbia Craw". Great tubes IMO. That Wart may work, but the fish I caught were mostly deep, 10 - 20 feet.
  18. Re-reading one myself. "Pea Ridge - Civil was campaign in the West" William L. Shea. Very readable account of the battle.
  19. Forgot to attach the link, here it is: http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-bull-shoals-quest/leaderboard
  20. Wow, really a tight grouping in the top 10 or so, no one is running away with this one! Vinson is still in the lead by a couple of ounces. Classic winner Cliff Pace is lurking in 3rd. Ish Monroe made a big move. Bags really weren't that impressive, the bigger fish must be tight lipped.
  21. Launched out of Lost Bridge North and fished the Indian creek area and Honey cove (I think that's what it is called), over by the dam. About halfway back into Indian creek the water is brown so I didn't fish back there. The water in the launch area and the nearby coves is pea green with about 3 feet of visibility and it's a bit better over in Honey cove. Ended up with a 16" fat spot, and 4 smallies, one of which was keeper sized. Got them dragging a tube. Water temps were 55-56. Ramp is in good shape, dock is accessible.
  22. Lots of folks still in the hunt, leader is at 16 lbs and change. Last year's winner, Brandon Palaniuk is in trouble, 90th place. http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-bull-shoals-quest/leaderboard
  23. Good luck and please let us know how you do. I fished Sardis last summer and that lake is full of crappie, I imagine Arkabutla is similar.
  24. Nothin better than nail cured eel!

    Big Rain!

Just took a little drive around Bella Vista, Little Sugar is an angry brown color and out of it's banks flooding the low lying areas of the golf courses. Not as bad as the flood several years ago, but still a lot of water out there. Lake Windsor looks to be up about a foot and the water is surging over the spillway.
