  1. Could make it tougher for the smaller dealers, I don't like that new policy, I guess it will be buyer beware, if you want the 5 year you'll have to ask your dealer if they can offer it, if not you may have to go to another dealer if I understand this correctly. I got a 5 year from Merc when I bought my boat, they had a deal where if you bought your boat in the 1st quarter you got the extra 2 years at a reduced price (I forget what it was, but it was a no-brainer).
  2. Danger and Ultralance, you folks live in a good neighborhood. I don't fish that far down lake often, usually stay closer to Big M, but I have had good success at times with the drop shot off Pinnacle Point. I've got a black/silver/gray Phoenix with a 200 Merc on the back, so if you see me, stop by and say hi.
  3. It seems it would be a very difficult, if not impossible, rule to enforce on night tournaments. Very hard also during the day, LE would have to visually see someone pulling a fish out of the livewell and releasing it. I'd call it an honor system rule.
  4. Yep, early is good. I did venture up the Kings a bit early, around 7 AM, where the Kings meets the White, already at 7 AM there were a couple of wake boats going in circles. I was going to do a little drop shotting in that area, but decided it was too early in the morning to put up with the washing machine spin cycle treatmemt.
  5. Completely forgot to watch the Huck, maybe somebody caught it and can fill us in.
  6. Launched at daylight, picked up a few early on the Ol' Monster, tried some drop shotting, didn't have quite the bite I had yesterday, but picked up 10 or so spots on the DS using a Finesse worm. Got a tip last week that some bass could be caught fishing the steep chunk rock banks with a Trick worm, so spent the latter part of the morning throwing a Watermelon t-rigged Trick worm on the steep banks, caught another 10 or so doing that, mostly LM's, nothing big, biggest being around 2 lbs. Water temp 84 when I left at noon. Worst part of fishing those main channel steep chunk banks is the constant wakes kicked out by the boat parade. Throw in a stiff wind and it's a lot of fun.
  7. Excellent! Thanks for the report.
  8. That's a heck of a drum. I never have fished Eucha, but I hear it can put out some fish at times.
  9. Yep, great shots!
  10. Started early, but not much action, got a few on a top water, fished the Ol' Monster for a while and only had a couple of bites on it. Got out the drop shot rod, started fishing off gravel points, had good action on and off. Best bite was on the fall, I was tossing it out 25 feet or so and letting it drop, usually would get bit before it reached bottom. I did pick up a few dragging bottom or vertically fishing it, but the "fall" bite was the best. Caught around 25 12-15" spots on the DS. Zoom Finesse worms in Old Purple or Plum. Great fun on the light spinning rod. Water temp was 83 when I left.
  11. Sure can't hurt.
  12. $75 for 3 gallons plus shipping. I can't find it any less locally (if anyone knows where I can buy it at $25/gallon locally, please let me know). http://domo-online.com/Outboard-Motor-Oil/mercury-c-3/premium-plus-c-3_10/3-gallon-case-mercury-premium-plus-oil-25-gallon-p-15.html?cPath=3_10&zenid=a1f709fce5793794d0810b5b7838645f
  13. I didn't know anything about the "sonic pulse" before watching the video, and still know nothing about the "sonic pulse" after watching it. Pure spam.
  14. Fishing sure beats sitting on the couch.
  15. Very nice, healthy, looking brown.
  16. Those raspberries look tasty!
  17. Nice mess of cats.
  18. I might get out there tomorrow morning.
  19. Truly this is a sign that the end is near.
  20. There are times it can be a bit slow.
  21. Thanks, that's some interesting info, never thought that more skirt would cause them to hold it longer, but it makes sense.
  22. Sounds like a great morning of bass fishing considering the conditions.
  23. If we're talking fiberglass Skeeters, I've seen a few of those.
  24. The Huck's take on this should be interesting. Thanks for the heads up.
  25. It's a good thing to see those young'uns out fishing!
