  1. The Kool Aid shipments all go to CNN, ABC, CBS, and MSNBC. There is not enough left over for FOX.
  2. Note. Free rod=happiness.
  3. If you don't listen to them, how do you know what they say??
  4. Then turn them off and don't listen to them..
  5. I guess Beck and Limbaugh are only opposed to Global Warming to steam up the Liberals with some of the comments on here.
  6. And here is what I woke up to today, about 4 inches of fresh powder. Even nabbed my little trash can raider. He had a cold night last night, hope he finds a warm hole where I dumped him today. The other pic is from the ice storm in Perry County this week. Yeah, we finally got a snow, first nice one of the year. Kids are all home today and we are gonna do some sledding.
  7. This used to happen on the Upper Black River around Lesterville, but all of it has been stopped. It is illegal to ride motorized vehicles of any type in any stream in Mo. You can only cross at legal crossings or ford streams for agricultural purposes. There are several places that do it on private land, but they are not allowed to disturb streams outside of their property.
  8. Marine Goop is good and can be found at most hardware and craft stores. There are several other adhesives made especially for the neoprene and can be found in most fly shops. Most waders come with a repair kit in the pocket or box that works too.
  9. Forecast is for more Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Drove North to Perry County today, everything is still ice coated and the sun was really making it glisten. Came across a Bald Eagle near a nest but did not get the camera out before it flew. It would have made a great shot.
  10. The smaller footprint is caused by the stunted growth due to the lack of meat.
  11. One plus side to vegans, they require less beef, so farmers raise less cattle, so we have less cow farts. Maybe it helps offset the carbon credits they consume......
  12. The trout pond was ice free yesterday, 3 poor saps out fishing in the downpour for the opener of catch and keep. I did not drive by today. Came home this afternoon to our first snow, it started falling about 3:30, today, Wednesday, after the storm had blew out, and the ground was white by 4. More coming Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
  13. The fat rat did not see his shadow today, so spring is gonna be early this year!
  14. Looks like some good flies coming in, time to start tying. The foam on the crawdad may make the ones I tye swim better and that is a super simple sculpin that looks great.
  15. Is it it one of the higher up channels that you have to pay per view????
  16. Plants convert CO2, so Vegans are contributing to Global Warming.
  17. Did you try and contact that person by phone and see what is going on? I don't see in the post any effort from you to contact the person, only that you are waiting for them to contact you.
  18. Don't forget a good Spring Mix Salad with Chicken Breast and Blue Cheese crumbles all over it. They make it look like normal food so they blend in with other people. Actually, they are aliens. Did you ever notice the pale skin and the foul smell?
  19. It must be a tree in the neighbors yard.
  20. We were 7 degrees away from any ice, just rained all day. Took a trip on company business, left town at 37, hit ice in trees at 34 about 20 miles out, 5 miles later 32 and icy roads. Turned around and made other rounds. Other salesman went to the bootheel and run into temps in the 40's. Looks like we will just get a whiff tonite. Just now dropped to freezing.
  21. Gas station here was all pumps full and a few waiting at 3. This weekend was great, cleaned off the garden, mulched some leaves with the mower, and performed some other outdoor chores in my short sleeved t-shirt. Converted fishing boat from duck boat back to jon boat. Watched geese and ducks fly back all day Sat. Aren't they gonna be surprised...
  22. I fish them like classic wet flies.
  23. I heard a report today that Great Britain's wind farm failed to produce enough electricity this winter to make a difference, no wind.
  24. I filled the bunker, stashed another rank of firewood, drew some water, filled the propane bottles, polished the weapons, and made sure I have enough alcohol. Actually, I picked up a loaf of bread and a 12 pack. Can you believe all of the hype over this upcoming winter storm? Electric crews have been heading up I55 to the north all day from the southern states. It is all that has been on the news, almost like they know it is going to be catastrophic. Reports are all over the spectrum from rain, to 1" of ice, to 5 or 7 inches of snow. Personally, I look forward to a day off work and getting a little tying done on my new bench. Anyone have any weather yet?
  25. Finished product before all the crap fills it up. I made a bead holder out of one of the pieces of walnut. I ended up using 4 coats of Formby's low gloss tung oil and it made a pretty slick finish.
