Great fish, what lure did you get her on and depth please? Outstanding fish for sure

lol, nice. a slow roll on the cranks, 6:3.1 ratio jonny morris reel on loomis rods. all the fish hit with one small tick, let the bait set for split second and crank reel, fish usually were then on. all fish were caught on back hook, barely hooked. this pattern has worked for me since last friday. on friday water temps were 53-57 depending, but have dropped a lot. keep in mind, this is only the very top surface temps as you well know. i have caught 2 fish on carolina rig the last week and that is all. for me, the crank has been the deal.

Got out in the rain last night for 1 hr max 6-7pm..got cold on me and I was ill-prepared. Managed 9 keeps all on lucky craft red/crawdad 3.5's. Fish in 10-15fow back on 45 degree banks. Banks could be toward main lake or even in back of coves, just had to have deep water near by, typical staging areas. here is a pic of one of them. my wife caught several as well on a lucky craft craw color. All fish came in jakes creek area. water temp 48-50

Fished that area today with the wife, we caught several keepers, mainly kentucky's but some lm, all but one on a deep diving crawdad color crank 10-15 fow secondary points and steeper banks right next to spawning flats fished 1-3pm. water clarity 12-15'

Was there today myself at swan and talked to a guy at the fish cleaning station who had his limit of whites, said he caught em 1/4 mi past barker hole on a white slider. I caught only bass this afternoon using a swimming minnow.

I have lived on table rock for 8 years with my boat in my slip which means I know the water pretty well and Bill is 100% correct, skip long creek and go for trout. The first 2 years I moved here my brother and I fished 5 days a week trying to figure out table rock and it kicked our butt, including long creek. Once april/may hits, take the boys to the rock but for now trout it up. who knows, you might catch a record down there. Trust us...go to taneycomo, put in my scotty's go up past the island, then up to cooper creek and drift it all day long, no logs or hang-ups really to be concerned about. Use trout eggs, marshmellows or corn, they all work. Clean your fish at scotty's,then eat up

Table Rock Lake Current Fishing Report July 31St. 2012
vacation replied to Bill Babler's topic in Table Rock Lake
For retrieving my lures, crankbaits usually, I use old sparkplugs. Just attach a snap swivle to the spark end, bend down the gap and there you go. Usually the spark plugs are free, just ask the mechanic to give you back your old ones. -
Would I be crazy if I took all day tomorrow and targeted nothing but walleye in Taneycomo? I know some are there, but where would I start...Its hard to graph them and tell the difference when so many trout are in the lake...thougths???

Thanks for the advice...I might just go to Hebron and wade/canoe up stream and try for smallies...how is the smallie fishing up there?
-
My wife and I are considering the north fork tomorrow, but only have one car and one canoe...question is..can we just wade the stream and fish or is that not advisable. How can we take the canoe and only have one car and still make it back to the car? thanks
-
WOW, are you sure that isnt a lake fork pic and you put hills in the background? Just kidding, what a TOAD...how awesome is that, especially in June...gets me fired up just thinking about the possibility. Is she back in the lake, how big was it...we have to know. Thanks for posting that pic!!

Bill, is your storm swimmer a "paddle tail" type or more of a thin fish with trebles? I am using 3" storm paddle type and doing ok with it fyi

My bluegill bite is as follows..18-25 feet deep at the base of pole timber or cedar trees...I envision then just hanging around the stumps of the big trees. Cricket or night crawler is the best bet...although minnows did produce a few, and the occasional cat/walleye/bass love em too. Bill, no worries on forgetting the topwater advice, it should be common sense to have one on all the time on an ozark reservoir. Also Bill, I have been monitoring my summer success/failures as relating to the taneycomo generation while fishing in the dam area and the correlation is noticeable. When they "pull water" fish pull back, when no water pulled, fishing is perceived "easier". In all your years on Table Rock, have you noticed the generation schedule as to your success/failures over the years? Just curious...I am keeping detailed log of this and may post my results in December FYI
-
I live in the dam area and fish is a LOT...Bill's post was so accurate it isnt even funny. I usually fish in the evenings after work and if you dont live here or are exactly in the right spot, it is very hard. All that to say, his advice on dd22 or swim bait is great advice, take it!!! I'll add always keep a spook or redfin handy and when you see a boil, throw that bait. Good luck and dont forget to try the big bluegill bite going on now and usually you can pick up an occassional, bass, catfish, or walleye.

I beg to differ a little on the quality of shows, I have seen Joseph at Sight and Sound and it was Broadway quality...simply put, AWESOME. Also, Grand Country square and the New South Show was great, as was Finalists LIVE at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater. Branson has plenty to do on a moderate budget. Have fun!

I have put my dock association on notice...we are up Jaques creek near Indian Point...if we see any suspicious activity it wont go in favor of the thieves. Thanks for the heads up.

Table Rock Lake Fishing Report For May 9Th. 2012
vacation replied to Bill Babler's topic in Table Rock Lake
I am batting about 1 in 3 for a redfin that works correctly..I too have spent many hours tweaking my baits. I ran into Charlie Cambell a few years ago and he gave me pointers on tweaking the spook and when I loose one I almost cry. Be well! -
I fished last night using a dd22 shad color and my wife using a custom painted orange wiggle wart...she had 4 keepers and 4 shorts in 2 hrs from 530-730pm and i caught 1 short. I also tried my tan/pink wiggle wart that usually is a fail safe and nothing...orange was the ticket for sure FYI in the dam area
