There are multiple sides to this problem, and it's a tough one. One thing I think would make a big difference -- and isn't getting much attention -- is securing our schools better. It'd cost a ton of money, and we couldn't lay the burden on the local school districts or the states, but we need to make entry into schools harder, and entry with a weapon as close to impossible as we can. We did it with airports, we should be able to come up with something for schools. I think we all want to protect our kids, and don’t want to wait to see what else might work
A lot of the other solutions being talked about are either unworkable, impossible or don't have the teeth to make a difference. Al made some good points on the gun control, mental health and armed teacher solutions.
