Take a look at some of the posts in this section of OA. There have been some extensive write ups of trips over the years. BilletHead's adventures will give you a taste. I wrote one up in 2015 here that covered CO, WY and a little Yellowstone. More of a travelogue than a fishing report.
If those are the maps I'm thinking about, I scraped them off their site years ago and have them in PDF and/or jpg. I dunno if they're copyrighted or what, but I've got them if you want originals.
Yeah, gooseberries take next to no effort, until harvest.
I've done it again....too much lettuce all at once.
Two gallon bags here on top of the two in the fridge. More needs cut.
I just cut the whole thing out when I harvest.
Love radishes; made me a salad.
If you do, take a look at the metal peel they sell. It's thinner than wood and works well for maneuvering the pizza as it cooks. Also bought the claw things. They help too and are long enough that you'll keep the hair on your knuckles ?
I've kept notes along the way and would be happy to share them with you if you'd like. Might save you some trial-and-error.
I love it, but there's a learning curve. Kinda tricky to get the temp and timing right. Tweaked my dough recipe to a lower hydration to make it easier to get on and turn. Definitely need to stay right there and turn it frequently. Cook time around 3 minutes.
I hear them too.
I also hear a lot of funny stories, as I'm sure you do.
Teacher asks the kids, 'If you see a gun, do you touch it?'
Kid says,'No!'
Teacher says, 'Why not?'
Kid says, 'Fingerprints!'
Lettuce is rolling in
Gotta crop every photo from my phone to get them under the size limit. Need to just take them from farther away I guess. The upside is there's no deck in the pics to get that crap started ?
Gf is a teacher in Independence, MO and her school is 75% free/ reduced. She told me her principal ran into a student outside school and asked him if he was ready for summer. Kid said no -- that just means I'll be hungry.
It's never the kid's fault. There is real need out there. But I worry we perpetuate the problem if we give too freely from too far away from home. Who wouldn't take free food if offered from a nameless, faceless benefactor who has money to burn?
Meanwhile, I'm stuffed. Chicken breasts stuffed with chilies and seasoned with some spices, done on the Weber. Rice and corn and chips and guac and beer. All prepared by other people. Nice!
How in the heck did you gather all my dangs??? That's impressive, all by its self.
But, more importantly, what about that pizza??? I mean, look at that freakin pizza!!
