I wouldn't be so quick to condemn the number of pleas. That's often the reality of things -- there can only be so many cases tried, and they've gotta prioritize. A plea doesn't mean they got off scott free either. For all we know, the pleas involved fines, loss of privileges, community service, forfeiture, whatever. -

Wondering about Lebanon/Bennett Spring on opening-day eve. Any news from there Cricket or anyone else? Heard there was some damage at BS. FWIW -- 65 MPH gusts reported around KC. Haven't seen/heard any reports of damage, but I'd bet it's out there. Big damage south of Topeka, some around Lamar, MO and Pittsburg, KS

What heirloom tomatoes are you doing? I mentioned Black from Tula was a bust above, but they have since sprouted. Also doing Brandywine, Amish Paste, Cherokee Purple. Most of the other veggies are heirloom too.

That was fun. Interesting seeing the old gear, the rangefinder camera, etc. And, who hasn't sat around the campfire with a gasoline lantern singing 'This Land is My Land'? Reminds me of watching films in gradeschool.

What'd be nice is if we could get MDC on board with a statement that sums the law up in 4-5 bullet points that'll fit on a laminated card. With their logo on top. Just dreamin' Why doesn't somebody just lasso that sign? -

Yeah, same in KC. 100+ temps in late July and early August were tough on things. I try to keep maters pruned pretty well for better air circulation. And hit them with a copper-based fungicide at the first sign of trouble. Everything's under lights at my house. I think my Black from Tula tomato seeds are a bust. Gonna have to get my hands on some more.
