  2. Really liked Red Rock West -- watched it again a couple months ago. National Treasure was a good one too. Can't think of any others right now.
  3. Same way I remember, 'Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.' And that's about 80 years old.

Would like a recipe, if you have one. Also -- what's that at 7:00? Daikon?

Haven’t had a Cobb salad in a long time. Looks great.
  8. Thanks! Great info is in short supply lately!
  9. I've been remote since March. I don't miss the drive, but I do miss the people and the energy of the office. Conference calls and Teams meetings aren't the same. We're not going back anytime soon.

  11. I'll just tag this report onto the previous one. Went to Eckman Hunting Preserve again last Sunday. Perfect conditions for a hunt: some snow on the grown, temp just below freezing and a slight breeze. Very comfortable, easy walking and the dogs did well once they settled down. I got to shoot a new 20 gauge I bought last fall for the first time. I'm gonna like it. My older Brittany Max is 12 years old now. On the way out there my son and I talked about the fact that this may just be his last hunt. Once in the field I kept an eye on him and he seemed to do fine. He kept it going for 2-½ hours, but he was spent by then. Ruby is 7 and has a ton of energy. She probably ran 4 times as much as Max. She was done too. We ended up with three, which was two less than we shot at. I had one fly straight at me -- I let it go over and shot at it going away. Twice. And missed twice. 2.3 missed another and we had 2-3 flush out of range early on. The old man Max was really stoved up that afternoon and evening. He was stiff-legged the rest of the day and could barely make it up the steps that night. He had bounced back pretty well by mid-day the next day, but I'm not sure I'll put him through that again. It was hard to watch. Here he is with a nice point: Then he photobombed this pic: Nice points by both, but nothing doing: Max:

    Whatchya Drinking?

Alcohol dehydrates you, which can contribute to headaches. Red wines and brown likkers have tannins and some folks get headaches related to that.

Jose Pepper’s, a KC Tex-Mex chain. Just a couple crispy tacos a piece. Good stuff.

    What's Cooking?

My mom was pragmatic cook. She wanted to get food on the table, that we would eat, without a lot of trouble. There was always bread, butter and jelly on the table and there was also always some kind of dessert. She made casseroles occasionally, but it was usually meat and potatoes. The casserole I remember most and liked the best was chicken and rice with cream of chicken and mushroom soups. I was talking to my sister a couple months ago about it and decided to dust off the old cookbook my mom gave me and give it a try. It's still pretty good but probably won't make it too often.
  17. Thought maybe you were hopped up on something to stay awake.

Try editing your post, selecting 'Other Media' then 'Insert image from URL' and paste in URL. I could get it to work doing that. Deer pic, right?

    What's Cooking?

Step son is dating a really sweet girl that’s got an Asian-ish background. She brought us a bunch of really different (to us) snack and ramen stuff we’re working our way through. Some of it has been good, some has been spit-it-out, gargle afterward bad. Steak flavored potato chips were the best 😄

That looks really good. I don’t know much about making real Asian food-the stuff I’ve made is pretty basic Americanized stuff. But, some of the real broths, ramen, soups etc. I’ve had out are just delicious!!

So anyway, we had lasagna last night. And tonight. Recipe right off the box of noodles, sauce from a jar and cheese from Wal-Mart. Cheerful in all weathers...

I never said a word about your culinary skills. I poked fun at the name Turkey Slop, not you. Sorry, I sure wasn’t knocking you.
