  1. You guys seen this new bait coming out soon from Teckel... https://youtu.be/ePrx3b8hXCs
  2. Awesome suggestion... They have an insane amount of colors including Watermelon Red Magic!
  3. I know it's not Watermelon RED Magic but it looks like Watermelon Magic is now a stock color... I think I actually have a bag of Watermelon Red Magic that you gave me... I'll sell it back to you for $100!
  4. Nice Pat! Great morning!
  5. Thought Wrench would like seeing this one! The Elite Series guys are on Sam Rayburn this week for the Texas Fest benefiting the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The format for this tournament is similar to MLF where they have an on-boat marshall who weighs and records each fish (over 15") and then they are released immediately. They are only doing 5-fish limits (unlike MLF) so culling is in effect... and they are allowed to keep their biggest fish over 21" in their livewell to bring to weigh-in for the fans to see. Maybe this is the beginning of a trend for these major tournament trails? Who knows but I thought it was pretty neat to see. https://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/toyota-bassmaster-texas-fest-benefitting-texas-parks-wildlife I would love to see more of this especially during the spawn and the hot summer months!
  6. Before memorial day you don't have to worry about big crowds. I've stayed at Parks Bluff Campground this time of year and we have been the only ones or maybe just a few other folks. If you go during the week the chances of you guys being the only ones are much greater. Lots of good wading and floating in that area and within a short drive. Ask for a site close to the river and I think you'd enjoy it.
  7. I think you could catch some out deeper on main lake points since they are running water... But I would focus shallow. I'd be throwing a spinnerbait or fishing a craw, beaver, or senko around any shallow cover and behind docks. Try topwater as well. Try to find the best water color you can. Good luck
  8. 7'3" Falcon Cara Amistad (Heavy Action Rod) 15-20 lb line 1/2 oz jig/jighead Dialing your reel in and practice is the biggest key after that
  9. Nice! It was great to finally meet you. Glad you put a good one in the boat and made a little money!
  10. Awesome! Welcome to the forum!
  11. I don't know anything about BBQ or smoked meats... But there may be some sandwiches in the afternoon.
  12. Hey guys, Sorry I didn't post this sooner to give those that might be interested a better heads up. This Saturday, April 1, the Missouri Smallmouth Alliance is hosting a river cleanup at 3 MDC Accesses they've adopted on the Meramec: Sappington Bridge, Sand Ford, and Red Horse. If you'd like to sign-up for the river cleanup, please email missourismallmouthalliance@gmail.com. In conjunction with this, we will also be hosting an Open House at the Tackle HD Craw Shack in St. Clair, MO. The Open House will start at 8 am and run into the afternoon. The Smallmouth Alliance guys will be coming by after their river access cleanup and hanging out for a while. So come on out if you are available and meet a bunch of great guys who all share a passion for fishing! If you can help cleanup the river accesses... Awesome! If you just want to stop by the Open House for a little while... Awesome! If you can do both and want to hang out all day... Even Better! Hope to see you there! We'll be doing a Tackle HD Prize Pack Giveaway as well. You must enter in person! Details Date: Saturday, April 1 River Access Cleanup Sites: Sappington Bridge, Sand Ford, and Red Horse (Saturday Morning... Dan or Matt can probably provide an exact time) Open House Time: 8 am - ??? Open House Address: The Craw Shack - 6747 Pond Ford Rd, St. Clair, 63077 Thanks, The Guys from the MSA and Tackle HD
  13. Wow!!! Awesome brother!!! Hell of a day!!
  14. Nice... Well done despite the cold front
  15. We just had a customer send us this pic of his dad with the biggest bass of his life today on LOZ... an 8 lb giant on the Hi-Def Craw! This is an unbelievable lake we have here! Hearing and seeing stories like this makes all the hard work worth it!
  16. Awesome... Way to figure em out! A lot of those guys in the Central Open would've killed for fish like that!!
  17. I'm looking for one of the older Shimano Crucial Drop Shot Spinning Rods. It's a 6'8" M Action rod with the cork split grip. Not the current model and not the black eva foam model. The one before that. If anyone has one they are willing to sell, please let me know! Thanks, Paul
  18. I like the sounds of this!
  19. Thanks for sharing! What an experience. Sorry to hear about the last day but you had a great tournament! Congrats
  20. This is one incredible lake!!! Took 25.75 lbs to win the Anglers in Action tournament today. 4 bags over 24 lbs... 17 bags over 20 lbs. Could you imagine catching 24 lbs and only getting 4th place? But I also saw there was a 40 lb bag on Guntersville today... So I guess there's always room for improvement
  21. Very nice! Thanks for Sharing
  22. Awesome to hear Steve! Those are some nice ones... We had a customer fish the craw on the Osage River a couple weeks ago... He said his best 5 might have been pushing 75 lbs........... His best 5 drum that is!
  23. That's a toad! Congrats Donna!
  24. That's a giant Ed! Thanks for sharing. Hope you heal up quickly! I've caught mid 6's each of the last 2 years. I'm still searching for 7 before I can move on to the 8's
