Gas Containers....what Do You Use ?
Nitroman replied to Billfo's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I have one that I had used for years & it worked fine. I use to fill it ( FROM MY 300 GALL. GAS TANK ) with approx. 30 GALLS. of gas & kept it on my boat-dock to fill our customers boats. Was great as I did not have to keep filling & carrying 5 GALL. gas cans back & forth. Finally became to much of a pain as the USCOE decided they did not like a 300 GALL. fuel tank sitting on their property & the amount of money I made from selling gas was not worth the amount of time & work involved. So, the 300 GALL. fuel tank went back to the distributor & the GAS CADDY sits there idle. By the way it's for sale to a " GOOD HOME " that will properly care for it, so if you are interested let me know. As mentioned in the other post, a couple of 2X6 boards made into a ramp & it rolls just fine. -
What's Up With The Loud Noise And Big Lights All Night In Clevenger?
Nitroman replied to dsigmon's topic in Table Rock Lake
Had a report on the KY3 news last night saying that this type of boat ( called it an AIR-BOAT & showed one being launched @ the tournament ) according to the STATE OF MO. HWY. PATROL WATER PATROL DIVISION were illegal & could not be used in the STATE OF MO. due to noise level & enviormental concerns. But that they had been granted a " ONE TIME ONLY " permit & if this tournament is held again in the future these types of boats would not be allowed. -
In my world & in my opinion " DOWN " !!!!!!!

Can't argue with any advicethat has been given here but, I will add & suggest ( WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING WITH A LITTLE DIFFERENT LOOK ) either a GOPHER & /or LUCK " E " STRIKE MUSHROOM JIG HEAD or, a FOOTBALL JIG HEAD. PS: PLEASE DON'T TELL ANYONE THIS LITTLE SECRET !!!!!!!

I cannot comment on this clip @ this time as I am currently suffering from a lack of oxygen, as " ALL MY BLOOD HAS TEMPORARLY LEFT MY HEAD " !!!!!!!

If the map being referred to is the same one we have in our office & down on our boat-dock it's 34in. x 24in. & fully laminated. We purchased them from the Kimberling City COC on HWY 13. If my memory serves me right when we purchased them they cost us $5.00 each.

YO-ZURI HYBRID is OK for top water but I would suggest MAXIMA MONO.

Know what you mean & felt the pain " IN MY WALLET " every time I bought a spool of FLUOR. Then to add insult to injury on the back-cast it breaks & a $16.00 LUCKY CRAFT JERK BAIT go's AWOL or breaks on the hook set with a jig & I almost launch myself off the front deck !!!!!!! Till it fails me YO-ZURI HYBRID !!!!!!! Still a TRILENE man, love their BIG GAME for flipping, it just don't break.

What do you think of going all mono? SOXPAC: Sure, all MONO why not ? Years ago before all this " HIGH TECH " stuff all we had & used was MONO except for a very few that used braid. Now you have to stand in a BPS store and stare @ a wall of line that is endless & just as confusing. Get yourself some good MAXIMA MONO ( GREEN ) & you will be set. At least till they come up with the next " NEW & IMPROVED GOTTA HAVE IT OR YOU WILL NEVER CATCH ANOTHER FISH " line !!!!!!!

Smart man, " DITCH THE VANISH " as that is what your lures & fish are going to do, " VANISH " when you use it. I have lost more lures & fish ( in a short period of time ) because of FLURO. than I did in all the years I used MONO. I have tried different brands, different knots, same results. I have switched over to YO-ZURI HYBRID & am very happy with it. Lower cost, & IMO performs just as well as FLUOR. " TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT " !!!!!!! The LB. TEST you are using looks good but I also use 8LB. & 10LB. @ times.

Lost On The Way From Stockton Lake
Nitroman replied to JEVPhoenixBass's topic in General Angling Discussion
My best guess, a RED MUSTANG ( BRAND ) PFD ( PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE ) life vest with a red kill switch cord attached. I may be wrong but I think I " BROKE THE CODE " & decifered it !!!!!!! -
You may want to give BASS PRO SHOPS LONG CREEK MARINA a call @ 1-417-334-4860, they do rent all types of water-craft to the general public, unlike their BENT HOOK MARINA @ BIG CEDAR where you have to be staying @ BIG CEDAR to rent a boat.

If you are out on a FULL-MOON, one of those nights where you don't need any light as it is like someone is standing over you with a spotlight ( you have good light penetration in the shallows ) tie on a large spinnerbait white & / or shad color with large tandem willow leaf blades & parallel cast the bank, boat-docks, etc. & see what happens. " YOU MAY LIKE IT " !!!!!!! PS: Please, lets keep this our " LITTLE SECRET " OK ?

Check out INTERSTATE BATTERIES @ interstatebatteries.com they have a MARINE / RV ( DUAL PURPOSE ) DEEP CYCLE / STARTING BATTERY that should work just fine for you. They have a dealer locator section available on their WEB-SITE so you should not have a problem finding one. Purchase the largest series AMP HR. - MARINE CCA - RESERVE CAPACITY etc. as you can afford & fit into the battery storage area. Your trolling motor battery should be your power supply for your trolling motor & your trolling motor only. A front TILT / TRIM SWITCH helps if you get your outboard hung up while fishing, you can raise the outboard while still operating the trolling motor to get yourself free. I cannot imagine not having one. I have owned BASS BOATS for almost 40 years & without a front mounted TILT / TRIM SWITCH I would have spent some long cold nights stuck out in the middle of nowhere. AS far as AC / DELCO BATTERIES I had 3 in one of my boats that believe it or not lasted almost 7 years. Longest lasting batteries I ever owned. A few important musts with batteries especially deep cycles, charge them after " EVERY USE " regardless of the time used 4 hours or 14 hours, if you have the right type of battery charger you will not over or under charge them which are 2 of the things that will shorten their life cycle. Keep them clean ( BAKING SODA & WATER MIXTURE ) & their water level @ the proper level & use distilled water not tap water. Charge them once a month in the off-season & / or during the season if not in use. If removing them during the off-season don't store them on a concrete floor &, they discharge @ a slower & lower rate the cooler they are so keeping them @ +70 or + 80 degrees during off-season storage is not required. On the other hand don't get carried away & store them in a " SNOW BANK " !!!!!!! Good luck.

No you are not the only one, they seem to be having a problem in this area lately, one day it seems to be fine, the next not. But have no fear as they have in the past in so many areas once it becomes a complete & total " FUBAR " they will give it some attention & attempt to fix it. " OUR TAX $$$$$$$ HARD @ WORK " !!!!!!!

You may try contacting a rescue group, there is probably one for any breed you are considering. I have owned several of the large breeds, & would suggest an AKITA. Can get very big ( mine was 145 lbs. ) & very intimidating in their appearance, yet great with all my kids & all their friends. Had a GERMAN SHEPARD " SHILOH " a ROTT " BRUTE " & the AKITA " SHOGUN " the SHEPARD & ROTT were good dogs, the AKITA was far & away superior in all areas just a fantastic dog till the day we had to put him down. Many times rescue groups will have dogs in foster homes all over the country just waiting to be adopted. Whatever your choice, good luck & think about the statement, " THE MORE I AM AROUND PEOPLE THE MORE I LIKE DOG'S " !!!!!!!

Went through the same exercise last year. The same pump we had ( on our boat-dock @ our fish cleaning station for our guests to use ) for the previous 8 years & had no problems with & no accidents ( someone getting shocked ) with was deemed unacceptable by your friendly USACOE. So because some " MORON " had to swim under a boat-dock ( I think I remember the news report saying it was in the Kimberling City area ) & reach out & touch a submerged 120 volt pump & get shocked ( which means either the pump was defective, or not installed properly / not grounded ) now all of us get to suffer. I removed the old pump, went to LOWE'S & purchased a 120 volt self-priming utility pump ( $89.00 seems to stick in my head ) 3/4 inch PVC pipe fittings & pipe & 2 hours later the USACOE was again " HAPPY & LIKED ME " !!!!!!! I drilled a hole in the boat-dock deck ( directly under the pump ) connected the PVC pipe to the inlet/suction side of the pump & ran it straight down into the lake. Connected a 3/4 inch garden hose to the outlet/pressure side of the pump & ran it up to the sink. Covered the pump with a plastic storage box, pluged the pump into a GFCI outlet which is controlled by a switch & it's done. The filter you show in your diagram will act as a restriction ( cut down both water flow & pressure ) & is not necessary in waters as clear as we have here on Table Rock. Have any questions or if you would like to see it, give me a call @ 1-417-334-4678.

Don't know where you heard that ( NO TUBING & OR SKIING ON TR AFTER LABOR DAY ) but if it ever comes up for a vote I " VOTE YES " !!!!!!! Also, I suggest we change it slightly by also banning the " _ _ _ _ ING JET SKI JERK OFFS " !!!!!!!
-
Are you kidding me. The COE put out some incorrect information. NO, I have always relied on them & what they tell us. There must be evil forces at work, THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING !!!!!!!
-
If you connect the other end to a 120 VOLT AC OUTLET it just may accomplish that for you. Just remember to UN-PLUG IT before you reach in there to grab them !!!!!!!
