  1. Hey partner I have one of those too. That 50HP 4stroker . You knew that! At least I thought you did? If anything goes wrong with it I will be sure you have to mess with it . BilletHead
  2. Yes could be Rick but weird there is none whatsoever pitting or anything happening on the outside of the rims and I run through everything including caustic cow crap. Mrs. BilletHead goes to screaming when I accidentally run through a fresh one and green poop goes to flying through the air. I learned by accident if I am turning my front wheels it slings around me driving and If I make the corner just right she gets some . Oh how I torment that girl, BilletHead
  3. You are on a roll man! Looks nice, BilletHead

    What's Cooking?

With the weather change keeping us close to home and off the water food and food prep made the day better. Two dishes for today and one for meals this week. So at noon took out of the freezer some duck legs that had been done Confit. Still in the vac bag in the fat that it had been sous vide in. Peeled the meat off the bone and prepped it in the duck fat and butter and some chopped garlic while the pasta was getting happy, Drained the pasta and put in the meat plus some lemon juice and lemon zest. Hot Dang! Good lunch, For this week when cooking can be a pain as late as the Mrs. Gets home from work Pat made a quiche with sausage split cherry tomatoes green onions and sharp cheddar cheese, So while all this stuff was going on I hot smoked some of the white bass fillets @ 230 with Alder. A sprinkle of kosher salt was all it had on it, Some of this went into the Vietnamese smoked fish salad we just polished off. My tummy is so satisfied right now, I have made a decision that if the white bite happens again I will keep a few more to smoke. Vac bag them up for easy meals like this and making smoked fish dip, BilletHead

    What's Cooking?

Nice Gavin, We do homemade Cesar dressing like that. Makes you want to gag at the bottle stuff. BilletHead
  6. Blame it on me if it happens. I am used to catching flack on all sides. Thanks. I wonder what is causing it? It is really, really bad. BilletHead
  7. I bet that was fun! BilletHead
  8. We have a 2004 Suzuki Vinson ATV. Been a good 4 wheeler. Use it for many things. I had a tire going flat overnight. Air it up and soap it plus the bead where tire meets rim. Couldn't find anything. I finally put in a tub of water and sunk it. Finally bubbles but not from tire or bead but dead center on the inside of the rim? HUH ? Then I seen the green slime also seeping through the hole. Corrosion not from the outside but the inside. Took it to a tire shop to break bead and remove tire. I asked about a tube. Well seems they either don't have one there or can't seem to get the correct one. Said if you undersize a tube it can blow out and if you oversize it gets folds and can be a problem. They suggested some stuff they could get to spray on the rim to full small pits and see if that would work. So I left the thing and went home. Googled up my unit and no rims from Suzuki available for my bike anymore. I checked bike bandit and they listed pricy aftermarket rims. I also did some digging and others have had problems with slime in tires some said no problem. One guy said the slime website says the stuff it temporary until you get tire fixed and to not use long term, My bad as I had put slime in all four rims many moons ago because on the slime bottles it says helps prevent leaks? Later back to town to see if tire shop had done anything. Nope not yet so I asked for my tire and rim back and went to find stuff to spray rim myself. Could not find anything and the place that supplied stuff to tire shop couldn't remember where thy got it . Came home and cleaned and scrubbed rim with a brass brush. Oh my goodness the rim looked like swiss cheese. Pits all over and bad. I have a plan and we will see if it works. I cleaned the rims with acetone. Began to start coating with Rust-oleum leak seal flexible rubber coating. Have two coats so far and will do another and let dry a couple of days then take it back to the tire shop and put tire back on. Hope it works and if it does I will do to the other three rims as I am sure they are the same. Anyone else had a problem with aluminum rims? BilletHead
  9. Might of been a bit colder with the altitude at which you head resides. Ham could put us in his tackle box and carry us around. BilletHead

  17. Couldn't stand it Had to go back. Up at 4:30 and checked the weather for Miami OK. Said good for about half the day and 10 MPH winds. Loaded up and headed down solo. Part of the forecast was spot on but the wind part not so much. Got in line at the ramp. Three rigs ahead of me and several already on the water. I made the run up to where Curt and I caught last week to see only one boat so ran around the corner to see three boats and guys fishing. Tried there with no hits but seen three fish caught but smaller fish. I dropped back down to last weeks spot and I was the only one on that side but began catching using same thing as last week. I was actually feeling lonely with only a couple boats there including me. Worked up and down a forty yard stretch. Started off pretty slow but picked up. 7 wt. with 250 grain sink tip. Chartreuse over white clouser. Fish were caught from two food deep next to windblown bank to 7 foot deep where the boat set. Some fish hit as fly was sinking , on the swing and stripped. Did not seem to matter. Other boats in and out in that area. They would catch one or two and leave out. Most heading upstream to who knows where. I figured why leave fish to find fish. Mixed bag today and that was pretty cool. Probably started actually fishing at 8 AM and decided to quit at 11 AM or 25 fish. At 11 on my last cast caught number 25, 18 white bass , 4 crappie, 2 hybrids and one drum. A trip really isn't complete without a drum . Thought is was really neat the crappie out from bank with no brush mixed in with the whites. They must of had their bellies in the mud as I was right on the bottom. Almost changed lines and targeted the crappie but what I was using worked. Another plus to this week as opposed to last week. The whites were sows. Good ones at that, The hybrids did what hybrids do slammed the clouser and fought like heck. That is why hybrids and my favorite fly rod fish to catch. Both of them were right on the bank, I had orders from Mrs. BilletHead to bring home fish so I did as I was told. Brought home 15 whites and the 4 crappie. Sprinkled on way home and now here in BilletHeadVille doing this report it is black outside with thunder and lightning. Good morning. You all need to go and get you some, Forgot to add WT up to 55 degrees BilletHead

  23. A little more, Pat had to work today but she has felt pretty crappy for a couple of days. As I was driving home she called and said the doc she works for wanted her to do a flu swab. Called a few minutes later. Positive 😮 . Made her go home. After 29 years in the medical field she has never had to go home sick from work. Only time she has not went in was during her breast cancer. Bonus foe me as Typhoid Mary assisted in fish cleaning. Her choice not mine. I told her to get in the house and it went over like a lead balloon. Then she had to cook some, BilletHead
