I have caught these fish on Truman, Grand, Lake of the Ozarks and T Rock this time of the yr. Most of what I have noticed is these fish come from trees, brush or something like that, something they can use as cover most of the summer and they just get beat up chaseing prey. My two cents worth.

My fastest limit I have been blessed several times, a little wed. eve derby back home pull up on a flat boats still flying by had the winning limit in 5 cast and culled threw 2more, Truman it took longer to run from Bucksaw to the Tally Bend that it did to catch a limit on blades about 15mins, T Rock 07 jigs on a current pt buddy and me had 20+ lbs in less than 10mins. you have to love when they get sit up right every one of these days was owed to current. Now to the other topic that has been pulled in on the this one, yes man you have every right to keep what you catch, but at the same time it is the DNA that makes this world turn, I keep a small handful of Spots in the winter no big fish, I think what every one is saying,is if we don't police ourselfs who will?. The record I found was Missour Dept of Conv. I belive Black Bass Hybird aka Mean Mouth caught 3-17-04 T Rock lake 5lb 10oz I think is what I seen Mark Fann Nixa Mo. I know is what I seen. 2 yrs ago there was a 10lb 2oz black caught by a guide down lake in march

I was in the upper James just above Piney, I have Mycast radar on the cell it works great. Put on the water at 1pm thought rain was done ( that is what I get for thinking) seen clouds and hung in one cut with new dock it is so new it don't even have the bumpers on it yet, but it has gel coat from my new Ranger. When it hit I was heading in to slip and about 1/2 way in down burst hit slamming my boat into side of dock. Well long story short it can be fixed, I seen boats going down and going up in the middle of this storm it was not good. Good news as soon as the rain was gone I caught good fish for about 2hrs. they love a fluke

I went into Piney for about 5 mins and was gone, my boy came home for the wkend and we were hoping to catch alot of fish, but there was a rig everywhere. Tournament out of Cape Fair, one out of 13 and the big Aunts crk buddy is this wkend. We did catch alot of fish, fish doc, c rig and jig all about 5 to 10 deep on the pts. We could not get any size best was about 3.5 most just little buck bass seen no beds but they are there, we need some bad weather to get all the nice weather fisherman of the lake. Did anyone notice all the hugh shad most up to a ft long dead in the upper James? most were bigger than the bass we were cathcing. Good luck watch for boats

I have the 787 and the 997 all you should have to do is put the card in slot and turn unit on, it will upload automatic and will say so on the screen. You might check and see if you are getting them down loaded to the card correct. Quick question on your 787 are you having problems with unit turning off by itself? Sunday in AIA when I would move from spot to spot it would turn off.

I assume you are talking about the sunday money runs, yes these are a great place to start, I fished one last yr and it is cheap and a good time. As soon as it warms up my 11 girl and I will be fishing some, real laid back. Like I said more less a money run with fish off at the end of the year. They don't cost a arm and a leg to fish

The downloads are free once you have reg, with Humminbird very easy to do. Also The new units coming out now have all this on them ( I belive ) I have the 997 SI got it at BP when the new units were coming out 1/2 off the best $1000. If I understand things right they cut the field after day 2 and on Sat, I belive there will only be 5 boats left I'm going fishing

I will agree with a little of everyone on this topic, I have driven a boat for the FLW on championship day and seen true pros or at least the top 10 was at that day. Now I have also seen the worst in what I would call the ones who have the money to pay to play, hell they ain't got a clue, they just have the money. I fished this past wkend from Buttermilk to Ashers both days I seen Pros act like true Pros and I seen boaters (so called pros) act like someone owed them something. I sit back and watched a boater from TX I think run by Campers PT going up lake he ran what he thinks was in the channel he has no clue how close he was to tearing something up, and he went out of sight going up lake staying in the channel the whole way. Lands sake he was on the Rock mid lake and thinks he needs to run the channel he ain't got a clue. As far as people acting like they own the lake that happens every tournament here just come to the upper James there are 2 boats that own everyting from Bridgeport up, I agree with Bill B.A.S.S guys do it the old way they earn there patches

I pour more jigs in a yrs time than 20 men could hang and break off. After about 2 jigs take a old spoon and scrape the side of your melting pot. Pour a few more and repeat again. I have good lead that I pour these jigs and heads with down to 1/16 ounce and after I went threw these steps got it right , just pour and try,

You can also put in at Flat Creek resort they have a ramp they let the public use, it sits right by the bridge on Hwy 173 you go into there parkinglot and it is down by there dock. I have a friend who sets lines this time of yr and kills them I don't know if he sits them deep or shallow or what, but he catches some darn good fish but I think he is closer to Pt 15 , this is where the James and Flat Crk come togeather. Good luck and don't overlook the James this time of yr, if you go the James I would put in at bridgeport ,

Yes the lake is coming up fast. At noon Fri. at the Cape Fair Marina there was current and large trees going around the bend out of sight. At dark the mud and trash had made it to Piney crk. Also there was big round bales floating at the bridge. You might wan't to stay down lake for a few days.

Just wanting to no what brand everyone uses, the gor tex I'v had the last 8yrs started to leak this spring and is showing signs of wear. Will need new befor fall. Thanks in advance

I will agree with Eric on this matter right now $30. is enough but when gas was higher it should be a little more. If the co don't offer I don't ask but at the same time we all work for our money . If someone offers me $10 after a 50 mile day well maybe thats all they have to offer I still got to go fishing. I have fished both and both are great events, with great guys in both front and back.

Well I have tried to stay out of this one but here I go. I get on here about everyday to read wat the heck is going on and it is great reading at times. I love to read your reports Bill, Eric and whoever else post them on here, but you have to take them for what they are a report that was old the min they got off water u ned that much direction on fishing, that you can't take the info and go catch fish my god man sell your stuff and buy golf clubs. I caught good fish on a spoon on the dorps this past Sat up the James can I do it again, yes, can you go and do it I don't no but that is all the info anybody should need to start looking for spoon fish. You men who post KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK for you who can't take a report and go with it well that's fishing you won't catch them all the time. PS I have golf clubs for sale cheap
