  15. I am just to darn cheap to spend the extra money on the Shark but did cast Dennis's rig with it and it does float high and picks up sweet. Seemed to me to be good stuff. I am using SA's Mastery series trout DT and like it well enough though I have had it for several seasons and have to now grease the line to keep the tip up. Couple more seasons and I'll flip the line over and fish the fresh side.
  16. My Dad's retirement gift was a 2wt PT same as yours and his has a Okuma Magnitude Fly Reel this is a very light weight reel made out of cast magnesium and has a stainless steel and Teflon corrosion-resistant disc drag system. On a short light rod I would think weight would be the biggest issue since most don't target drag screamers on little rods but luckily this reel has both and for a fair price point. IMHO
  17. Nice!!!! Think you made the right decision on the grips. I had been on the look out for one also. Thought I had one well actually a Kimber Ultra Carry II but my buddy made a better decision and decided to keep it and start using it. Now I am thinking I may just by a full size GI clone for a range toy. And keep the G30 as my trusty side kick.
  18. That why I like cold water and carry a stringer.
  19. Al and Dano I have also been looking for a shoulder type bag or one in the other category. I have been eye balling this manufacture for a while. After missing one for sale locally for about half there retail price. http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/viewCa...sp?idCategory=4
  20. Nice write up. "If" I could ever find the perfect fly boxes for me I think I would like to get rid of the vest or pack all together and get a shirt with a big pocket.
