  1. It's the best smallmouth crankbait for streams that has ever been made. The deep diving model with a couple of suspending dots on the bottom will catch huge numbers of smallies out of any stream in The Ozarks.
  2. What your you using? I'm thinking about buying a pack of frogs to swim over the vegetation. I never used frogs before but I think it will work.
  3. Yeah that would be great just send me a P.M.
  4. Thanks, I think I've been there before. I parked at the low water bridge and fished up stream. I haven't been back because fishing around there made me nervous. I was always afraid someone was going to shoot me for being on their land. But the next time I go back i will ask permission. Thanks for the info.
  5. Hey yamahammer, is Braden Rd. off of 14? I've been looking for a good access above Linden.
  6. Your best bet for a day float would probably be from linden down to the park. That section has the best fishing but it's not the easiest to navigate during the middle of the summer. Another option for a day trip would be from below Ozark Mill down to Riverdale. There's some good fishing not as good as Linden but it's a little easier to navigate. From 1-60 bridge down to Hootentown is probably too far for a day trip. But if you don't fish every little piece of water that looks like it could hold fish you could make it in a day. Of course I usually do float out of a kayak which is a little faster and is easier to port. Anyway I hope this helps.
  7. Seeing your report really makes me want to hit the park. I'm all bogged down with finials this weekend but maybe i can find sometime next week. Thanks for the report.
  8. Thanks for the report. Hopefully I'll get a chance to hit the park sometime soon.
  9. Beautiful Fish
  10. A nine foot 5wt is my weapon of choice.
  11. I'm the guy you will see fishing out of a green old town kayak with the Johnny Cash and catch and release sticker slapped on the side. I'm relegated to the Aunts Creek arm and spend a lot of time in hoge holler to get away from the jet skiers.
  12. Try fishing from a kayak on Table Rock. People look at you like your the Geek at a freak show. Some actually come up and will fish on top of me, because what could this kid fishing out of a kayak know about catching fish. D-bags are everywhere don't let them get you down.
  13. Man, great pics. I hear a lot of negative things said about Springfield Lake and my question is always why? There's a healthy population of quality fish in there and your pictures prove it.
  14. I always heard that Largemouth and Smallmouth occupy different niches within the lake. Smallmouth like deeper water while Largemouth spend most of their time in the shallows. The two competing species are the spots and the smallies because they occupy the same haunts and focus in on the same pool of food. therefore keeping smallmouth would help the spot population more than it would help the largemouth.
  15. Yeah loo, why? What's wrong with Lake Springfield?
  16. He almost blew it againt the astros tonight. It wouldn't surprize me if he was in Memphis by the end of the month. I think he's got potential, he just needs some time.
  17. Thanks for the info.
  18. I agree, the president is all that I have needed. It is a really tough reel that doesn't require a lot of maintenance. Great reel.
  19. Very well said and i agree completely.
  20. Wow, thanks for the info. You are a wealth of knowledge and should consider writing a book.
  21. Any details?
  22. Usually the only problem there is with treated water is the amount of nutrients it puts into the water. This nutrient build up can cause fish kills if the nutrient content is too high, but it usually doesn't promote the growth of parasites. If someone had a picture of an affected fish I could take it to one of my Bio professors and see what they think.
  23. Two things that mirror each others beauty.
  24. Sir, this isn't a ban on all fishing. Do you really think that the lure companies that you spin fishermen use won't make alternatives? Do you really think that there are not alternatives already available? Are you so set in your ways that your willing to sacrifice the planet to out flank inconvenience. This planet nurtured your species for thousands of years only to have us evolve into the very thing that is going to destroy it. Are length limits a bad thing? Is fining people or companies that pollute a bad thing? The government is not doing this because they care about inconveniencing sportsmen, they are doing it because it is better for the planet which is better for humanity.
  25. You can't go wrong with soft plastics and light line on Table Rock.
