    Limited Out

    What a great day!
  3. Doesn't get much better than that! Congrats!
  4. Sounds like a pretty decent day.
  5. Excellent! Congrats! Looks like they are eating well!
  6. I would think that depends on time of day and/or clouds, wind, etc. Seems like your search would be along points, flats and drop-offs. Just have to change depths until you find them.
  7. Welcome to the forum. You'll find this a very fisherman friendly forum with lots of good advice. Your boat reminds me of my first boat. Mine was an aluminum Triton very similar to yours. If this is your first time running your own boat, take time to get to know it and learn how to drive it in all kinds of conditions. Stockton can get a little rough at times so be aware of the changing conditions and react accordingly. Be safety conscious, wear your pfd's, connect your kill-switch when running. (Remember to disconnect your kill-switch). Keep all of your safety equipment in good working order. Of course, you probably already know all of this stuff. My wife and I even took the boating safety course when we first started.
  8. Dan H. turned me on to strolling with a jig so I will also start trying that. I've even had some success with drop-shotting using minnows.
  9. lmt out, What's your favorite fishing method or do you like to mix it up? Mine is a bottom bouncer and slow death worm. Sometimes I'll change to a bottom bouncer with crankbait.
  10. Well only 2 days until we set sail for Norfork and boy how things have changed. I hear parts of the lake are impassible but others are still okay just be careful. Any last minute advice on where to fish? Target fish are walleye and crappie. Where are some good flats to troll for walleye that aren't clogged with debris? Already have a couple of places I plan to try that some of you helpful members have suggested.
  11. Thanks, I'll do that.
  12. Have I heard correctly, is the lower end of the lake in better shape?
  13. Thanks for this info. Hope it continues to improve over the next few days.
  14. Hear there is a lot a debris and ramps are closed. Anyone with eyes on it. Also roads from here in St. Louis to there are not too good either. Planning on being there this weekend but now having second thoughts.
  15. Thanks Dan, very helpful.
  16. Hi Dan, Gonna be there the first weekend in May. Hope we can figure out a pattern for the walleye and crappie. Our freezer is now empty and we need to restock. Water clarity is always a factor on Norfork. I use braid with 6 ft fluorocarbon leaders of various pound test. Usually can get away with 8 lb at Stockton but guess I will have to go with 4 - 6. Hell, may even go with 2 lb for crappie. Did you come up with a pattern for them?
  17. Congrats to the lucky couple!
  18. Well, booked a 1 bedroom at Blackburns. Can't wait!
  19. Be willing to bet they can email you the waypoints for your graph, just need to let them know the graph brand.
  20. What is the minimum depth at which you start to see this. 20 ft, 30 ft. more?
  21. I'm willing to do this but what are the symptoms that indicate I should do this?
  22. Thanks for the input. Will be setting up a time very soon.
  23. Mojorig, Will you be participating in the BC fishing tournament? K
  24. Thank you for the replies and info, this is very helpful! Can't wait!
  25. Hi everyone, Haven't been to Norfork for several years but coming back this spring. Will be targeting walleye, crappie, and stripers. Trying to figure out where to stay and where to fish. Will the walleye be on points and flats? Are the crappie spawning? Are the stripers still shallow? What part of the lake and which arm should we concentrate on? Recommendations on where to stay. Thanks, K
