  1. ...unless you happen to fish the contaminated waters. So basically you're cool with a ban as long as you personally are not affected by it? Little NIMBY syndrome, huh? And correct me if I'm wrong...the MO state government has not yet passed any legislation banning felt soles anywhere in the state, and if they did, who exactly would profit? I'd say Simms and Orvis would turn more dimes than MDC, so maybe you should revise your cartoon to include ALL parties guilty of picking pockets. Government may be corrupt and complicit, but they are not the driving force behind your alleged conspiracy, if in fact it is a conspiracy...corporations are.
  2. You seemed pretty satisfied. Ouch. Hamma time!
  3. Huh? You sure you're talking to me?
  4. Dang, you got some clown feets too brother. My med/shorts get tighter on me every time I put them on. I'm gettin' so fat I can hardly stand up anymore.
  5. Yep, you're probably gonna have to pay the extra $100 and go with the Headwaters...they come in a much wider range of sizes. Welcome to the club. Wait a minute, I just read further...if you have size 11 feet, ain't no way you're fitting in Med Shorts...I'm 5'8"...unless you just have some serious clown feet, they're gonna be way too small.
  6. The Blue Ribbon section goes by Blue Ribbons regs all year...nothing changes there.
  7. They help, but they're still not as good as felt. Drew, why'd you delete your post?
  8. Saw it on a hat somewhere.
  9. Anyone who still wears felt is a backwoods, toothless hoosier with a spinning rod and a jar of Powerbait.
  10. You can probably figure out the first rule of MO Fish Unit...
  11. Or maybe Mr. Meth-head, on foot, with a can of paint thinner and a crack torch.
  12. Some tasty vittles there, huh oneshot?
  13. You'll be doing a buttload of dragging, but it's still doable if you don't mind the work, especially in three days. Say hello to Jam-Up for me.
  14. Tell that to Galileo...
  15. What are you so angry about Mark? Feeling a little insecure?
  16. I thought this was a thread about the town drunk...
  17. Man, you ain't lyin'. After just a few months of picking up this and that to tie a few particular flies, you'll have enough materials to tie hundreds of patterns. A couple hundred bucks for the right materials will get you a long way down the road (stream, whatever), and all you'll have to buy eventually is hooks and a few odds and ends to replace the most commonly used materials. And tying is fun!
  18. Yeah, I wanna see the list, because I don't think you have one. I haven't noticed any of the snobs here...they're all busy posting on the Drake.
  19. You misspelled "I'd rather have a scorching case of herpes than a pair of pomeranians."
  20. I'm sorry to hear that man. Hang tough.
  21. Sounds like someone is pissed about finishing 26th.
  22. Who's proud of me for staying out of this one?
  23. I could see using a glass rod for crankbaits and for ripping hard jerkbaits, but I don't think it has an advantage for many other applications. You definitely wouldn't want to use it for plastics. Graphite is far more sensitive than glass, and has much greater hook-setting power.
  24. I love it when guys are big enough to admit they screamed like a little girl. A little truth in a story goes a long way.
