  1. I have been a couple of times lately. I don't even recognize most of my old fishing spots. There are places where I can't even see the bank. The ramps I have used are very shallow and hard to load and unload when by myself. You should be able to put in at Greenfield access (CC) with no trouble. The crappie should be hanging in the brush but this weeks rains may change everything.
  2. Mine are all the 6:1. I think I have a 1/2 dozen of them. They are all old but going strong.
  3. If you try braid stay away from that crappy Fireline. Get Power Pro.
  4. I found water as cold as 41° in some places this weekend. 52° was the warmest I could find and the bite was tough.
  5. My understanding of the current rules is if you are on the water and have a motor larger than 6hp attached to your boat, you can get a ticket.
  6. Skin them and cook them like any other fish (corn meal, flour, egg, milk, hot oil) or skin them and smoke them.
  7. The slab hunter is a Truman bait. I think they make them at the Station.
  8. LOZ is reportedly very muddy since they are dumping Truman.
  9. If Doug has closed State Park ramp at the Marina then the Old State Park parking lot will be under water. Are you sure that it wasn't Old State Park that is closed? All most all of the ramps are way under water with the water near the parking lots. There is not much room left for many trucks and trailers.
  10. I won't go above Rolley Blunks in any kind of boat.
  11. With the slope of the land I don't know of any place one can't launch. I have seen the ramps at Stockton, Crabtree, Mutton Creek (both sides), Hawker, Rouark and CC. All are useable. Some of them are real close to the parking lots right now. The water temperatures are in the high 40s - low 50s where I have been.
  12. You might be able to use some fiberglass resin and cloth and make a decent patch. I have done that kind of thing a time or two. It was never pretty but it was functional and cheap.
  13. I don't doubt it but where can you launch a boat?
  14. First and foremost you have to be a good salesman. You have to be able to sell yourself as well as your sponsor's product. If you can win some tournaments and get some local recognition, then you have the beginnings of a resume. Until someone can say, "Yes, I remember that you won such and such" you won't have much of a chance getting sponsors. Most major companies have hundreds of resumes daily. If yours isn't professionally done it will be trashed.
  15. With a constant dropping the fish may relate to that and spawn deeper than normal.

  17. Thanks Jenny. That may be the only place to fish in a while.
  18. I just saw on the news that the USACE said the gates at Table Rock will remain open for the next 2 months. Bull Shoals will look like a small ocean. It may get like it was in 2002.
  19. Here is the pot hole.
  20. So that makes it 863. Ramps are going to get hard to find soon. Stockton has risen 3' since yesterday morning.
  21. Where can I get it in SWMO?
  22. Contact Lowrance 1-800-324-1356.
  23. The BS 5' are you talking 5' over power pool because it was already 4' or is that a new 5' and it is now 9' over pool?
  24. Go to braid. NO MEMORY no worry no fuss. When I use mono I change every two weeks and sometimes more often. That way I don't have much memory to worry about. I also use Real Magic when it isn't the way I like it.
