  1. My coldest Taneycomo trip was -5°. I had a fairly new Ranger. The steering was frozen. I took trash out of a can and burned it in the splash well to thaw the steering. It took a while for my Black Max to fire up but it did. We motored from Branson to Pt. Look Out and deployed the motor guide. It took 15 minutes for it to thaw enough for the prop to turn. We saw no other boats and the fishing was terrible.
  2. Wouldn’t do you any good because they ain’t tied up.
  3. It was a heck of a day. It’s been a long time since I have been on that many bass. I used 5 different colors in two brands of swim baits and all produced. Thanks so much for the invite.
  4. What are non English speaking Russians do in your area?
  5. Thanks for the reply. I guess it is just tough right now.
  6. We didn’t fish cranks very much. Lots of slick water and I like a little breeze. I would be interested in getting a report if you don’t mind.
  7. Yes we did. The water color is good and there is very little debris.
  8. Fishing today at Table Rock reminded me of that old movie as it was a bad day at the rock. Jeff joined me this morning. I hadn’t been there in several weeks and knew nothing. We started at a steep bank and Jeff caught a few. I was busy with a sonar unit that wouldn’t work. We struggled all over the lake and never could find a pattern. It was a fish or two then nothing more in the area. Name a kind of place and we fished it. The sky was blue. The wind was light. The water was 62° about 2’ down. We wound up with 20 mostly spots and most of them were sub 15”.
  9. 62° on my Birds in the Cape Fair area today.
  10. Maybe it will be the same on my end tomorrow unless you want me to bring the boat over there.
  11. Last that I saw was 62°.
  12. I’ve used the uni to uni but never been satisfied with it. I’ve been using the FG for 11 months now. I have it on 6 spinning setups and use it every trip with Ned, shaky and swim baits. I’ve had no knot failures which isn’t something that I can say about the many other knots that I have used.
  13. There should be a minimum of posts before items can be sold.
  14. By all means follow wrenches directives. He has an MD PHD in BS.
  15. This might be of interest to some of you. https://www.lakelevels.info/USA/Missouri/
  16. Sounds like a good trip. I am glad you got to go with your buddy.
  17. Yes it is. That’s what Cape usually looks like but I can’t find any info.
  18. I’ve only been able to find info on the Kings on the Face book page, lots of debris in the Viola area. What about Cape Fair? There was a tornado a few miles north at Elsie.
  19. We’ve had just under 4 inches in the last two days with almost no runoff.
  20. A skinny fox stopped by and got a drink. I opened the window and it went around towards the street. In a few minutes it was back. It finished its drink then left out the back.
  21. Jeff and I started before sunrise. We hit several normally good spots but no fish. It was almost 2 hours before Jeff got a jig fish. I couldn’t get a jig bite but caught some on shaky. We fished the main lake, creeks, bluffs and coves. We never could get a pattern. We wound up with about a dozen with maybe 1 keeper spot. The water was 68° and we had a light ne breeze with a mile high sky. We dis see a guy load a pontoon on a goose neck flat bed trailer.
  22. Check your pm
  23. It is only 3 feet below the old power pool level. I’ve seen it low enough that there was actually an island in front of the Beaver Creek dock and you couldn’t safely get above Barker’s Hole. But that didn’t stop the walleye and whites. I quit going down there after they raised the pool level. It changed everything for the type of fishing that we did. Places that had been reliable for years no longer held fish and I just didn’t want to spend the time learning new patterns.
  24. That boat will be a lot more able to move around during windy conditions. Just curious what kind of fishing do you do?
