Wallichaser what kind of boat are you using. I saw several in the Big Sac today but couldn't say howdy cause there were too many choices.
I went to Old State Park. I did pretty good on bass today.
The ups and downs haven't made much difference to me. The fish have been in the same place for several weeks. They just move in and out depending on the sunshine and wind.
No local zonining and planning. That is why a few years ago they had to close a bunch of swimming areas on Beaver Lake, too much chicken poop in the water.
We used to dove hunt a lot but all the farmers quit putting out grain crops and went to grass so I quit because they aren't that good to eat (unless you like the taste of liver).
Yes sir. I just looked on the net and found it is up 4 1/2' since the big rains Sat. night. I hope it doesn't get too high. I want to go down there and fish in a couple of days.
I saw on the news about all the rain at Hall Town, Miller, and other areas which drain into the Stockton water shed. They said the Sac Rivers were 15-25' above normal.
Does anyone know what has happened to the Stockton level. Last time I looked it was 868.38.
I see now as a good time to fish. Last time I was there I only saw 3 boats and none of them were ride arounders. The campgrounds were nearly empty too. You gotta love it when the tourists are gone even if it is hot.
Largemouth virus. And something quite similar to it hit Bull Shoals in 2002. It killed a fishery that had been going since the mid 50s. There were thousands of white bass caught from K Dock to the Powersite Dam each winter and spring. As of the spring of 2003 they were all but gone.
While the Table Rock fishery had done a good job of recovery, the Bull Shoals has not and doesn't seem to be going to in the near future.
I don't fly fish but I do sharpen a lot of hooks. I have a handy little gizmo (EzeLap) which came from Fin and Feather in Spfd.

With the proper hitch you should be able to pull somewhere around a 30' with no problem. I pulled a mid 20s for years with a 1/2 ton 350. The farthest I pulled it was on a 500 mile trip with no problems. It weighed around 3500 lbs empty. You probably should check your manual and see what the pulling capacity and load capacity is. It will probably drop your bumper by 6" or more.
If you get a trailer with slides you will greatly increase the load.
