  1. The foot warming value inside waders is an old duck hunter's trick. But by all means, be sure you don't let any flatulence escape especially if you're wearing neoprene waders. This results in a condition referred to as "Perm-a-Phart..." I would mention the big news about the lady astro-nut that drove from Houston to Florida without one pit stop. She used an adult diaper... DEPENDS, BABY... Could be a new necessity in the gear bag!!!! I think Michael has 'em at BCO... After this thread, I dare one of you to now BRAG about bringing a 22 inch BROWN to hand.....
  2. Do you have a sister? I honk and wave every mornin', Michael... you're always back in the back countin' all that money....
  3. Stubby? 15 minutes? Are you smokin' crack, Michael? I agree with Duane... It might... MIGHT keep him down to 30 minutes... OK... OK... OK... I agree... All I have to do is ask... Can I have some Ace of Spades? Careful, Ronnie... Michael has my credit card number committed to memory. You may be next.
  4. Dang, Jerod... you must be special... He never has done anything like that for me or Duane or Ronnie... huh, guys? You fished with Stubby? God bless you..... Did you get to say anything that night? My experience has been if Olive ain't workin' on Taney, switch to sumpin' red and you'll soon have your line twitchin'...
  5. Phil, You really need a good camera man to help you with those videos... or at least me... Great video. Are you going to put together a collection of them and set them to run on CCTV in each room at your place?
  6. Hey Duane... Did Michael mention a surplus of red pine squirrel at the shop by chance?
  7. Brian's just a "high quality" guy there Phil... OK, Brian... Don't tell him I said this, but that Tucker has one evil laugh!!! Did you get any videos of the strippers Matt hangs out with?
  8. JD, Did you feed the groudhog at Riverbend?... If my grandbaby's momma was your waitress, thanks for the big tip to help buy her diapers and toys... I'm surprised you didn't say something about the guys cleaning the fish leaving for a while and coming back. Seems like that is a common occurance at Bayou, but still one of my favorite spots to fish...
  9. Sounds like a good time, Tim. Good report...
  10. I thought Duane was the groom... Who is that beside the bride?
  11. Yeah, he makes even Michael look like he can fish, when we all KNOW it's Kristina who catches the BIG fish.... Gotta get by and see that thing in person...
  12. uh-huh... and I remember a certain somebody mentioning to me that you were no longer allowed to go fishing without her.... hmmmmm....
  13. Enjoyed it myself.... You guys check out the pictures and add your own on the site I created just for them...
  14. CLICK HERE TO VIEW AND SHARE YOUR PICTURES http://oaf09nydcookout.shutterfly.com/
  15. The side? I usually just untie mine and let it hang out the cuff of my overall legs... (Just thought I'd help with the derailment...) Reminds me of the time DD and I were fishing and decided to go up on the dam and cross over... He said he needed to take a leak, so he went over to the Table Rock side and let it hang off the side... That made me need to go, so I bellied up several feet down from Ducky. Duane finally says to me, "Dang that water's cold!!!" Of course, I replied, "Yeah, and it's DEEP TOO!!!!"
  16. Sorry you guys won't make it. Check your calendars and we'll put together something this spring where you both can come down. When there's food and fishing on the plate, it's not hard to put on a party with this crowd... I'll be down some time up in the morning. I'll have the fish cooker and whatever deep fried items I can muster up. If anyone wants to cook up some fish, I'll be glad to provide the heat and oil of you want to provide the fish and coating. Or if you have anything you want to deep fry... I'll even let you use my big ol' special fish dippin' thingy... hmmmm.... Anybody know how to deep fry Twinkies and Snickers?
  17. Paul, Since I work until 9pm and need to get petrol for the Dodge and make a trip to the store for food stuffs, load the fish cooker, and load the rods and waders, I probably will be there up in the morning. But I thin there was some talk of a few getting there early for a breakfast run? Anybody that wants to bring some fish to fry, I'll have the cooker and the oil... Don't have any fish, tho...
  18. Is the Pope Catholic? Does a wild bear poop in the woods? Wish it had been today.... in the 60s... But a bit cooler Thursday... around 45ish I think? But should be good. Doesn't look to be quite as windy as last year... SHEESH!!!
  19. Dang, JoRob.... I don't feel so bad now. I haven't fished Taney in so long, I'm not sure how to get there anymore... Come back up NYD and eat some grub and shoot some bull with us...
  20. Welcome to the nut house... When you find one of those "experts" on Taney, could you let the rest of us know?
  21. Brian, DRC is open all year. I would get with Davy Wotton and talk about the Friends of the Norfork Hatchery, which he leads, about something with the Boy Scouts. I'm sure you know the campground is right across from there. You might get a chime from John Berry as well. He can give you a good "heads up" on DRC fishing. I assure you it will be a blast for the boys!!!
  22. I hope I'm ready. I've been fighting a resporitory viral infection for a couple of weeks and went back to the Dr today for more meds. I plan to be there, but may not get to stay long. Don't want you guys to have to listen to me hacking up a lung all day...
  23. Not the VR yet, Ronnie... I'm gonna save my pennies for that one. I got the non-VR for $75 = $6 shipping and just got it in the mail... LOVE it. Took these with it... Just playing outside the house. Don't be too critical, these were quick shots at full auto on the camera with no tripod. This one taken with a 70-300mm Promaster TeleMacro in the 300mm Macro mode: 70mm Tele on the same lens 300mm Tele on the same lens 55mm with the AF-S 55-200mm Nikon lens 200mm with the Nikon lens
  24. Just got the ProMaster, but the reviews are pretty good. For the price, I like them, but the quality is not "great" for a pro. I'll take a few and post them and you can decide... OK... I popped in the lens and set it on macro and took a couple. This is on "auto" at 300mm macro standing about 3-4 ft from the bud... Freehand - no tripod:
  25. Santa brought me a new Nikon D40 dSLR camera with an 18-55mm lens and another 55-200mm on the way. Now if I can just learn how to use it...
