  1. I'll have the Grande Double Mocha Raspberry Latte with Skim Alpaca milk, a splash of Ecuadorian chocolate liquor, topped with whipped Siberian Yak cream, a hint of Madgascar cinnamon, Jamaican nutmeg, and a sprinkle of Venchi dark chocolate shavings... please... OH... and make that to go, please...
  2. Happy Birthday, guys... Hope you get to spend some of it on the water...
  3. All I got for 50,000 points was a free cup of coffee... And he switched the music over to Big Smith.... Of course when he's not there I do better. I got a free Respoolin' magazine for only 1,000 points!!!
  4. It's OK... he doesn't inhale... I... OK... My LOML has... three squash plants, two pepper plants, four tomato plants, two cucumber vines, and various herbs and spices... Including Cuban mint... Mojito anyone?
  5. I guess I should add that if you prefer to pay by check, you can make it out to the American Diabetes Association and send it to me and we'll get it to the ADA: Terry Beeson 1107 W Scenic Hills Dr Nixa, MO 65714
  6. Many of you know my step-daughter, Amanda, is a Type 1 diabetic. She is going to be a part of the American Diabetes Association Step Out for a Cure event here in Springfield in October. It's similar to the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. Anyway, I thought if you would like to contribute to Amanda's walk, you can click here and go to her ADA webpage. There you can sponsor Amanda. Any amount is fine. Thanks guys...
  7. Yep... some of my fondest memories are of my first fishing trips and of helping other kids catch their first fish. Great pics of a great smile... He'll remember that forever.
  8. I put some of Jeff's music on my "myspace" page... (I'll settle for 20% commission on sales, Jeff.... )

    Eric Clapton

To quote former Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders: "I've heard Eric Clapner - I think it's a wonderful thing that Eric Clapner the musician is putting on this event...I like Eric Clapner!" Slow Hand is still putting out good stuff.

    Bbq Sauce

I've tried a ton of sauces over the years and have to say that most of them have a place in the bbq world and many have their own character that makes them good enough for me. But, I have a couple of preferences. First, for a sweet sauce, I go back to good ol' basic Kraft original. For a spicy sauce, one of the best I've ever used was from "The Shack" BBQ in Little Rock, AR. Hard to find, but is worth it if you can get it. Then again, I'm always up for trying something new and different. My latest venture is working on a good Jamacian Jerk sauce... OMG!! That is good stuff... If you really like good BBQ and want to try a lot of sauces and rubs, go to Memphis in May (too late this year... duh... LOL) and walk around the BBQ competition sampling. You may just find a new "friend" and "favorite" there... Almost forgot... the LOML got me a brinkman smoker - the side fire box style - for my birthday. I'm still getting the hang of it, but it is so nice to smell the smoke all day and have great smoked meat that night. Anyone know of a good source of hickory wood in the area?
  11. Yeah, but Trav... Dogs eat... ummm... poop.... I ain't gonna see if it's good enough for me... But I get your point.
  12. HEY.... HEY... HEY!!!! Wait a minute Thom.... I resemble that remark... Actually, they may be referring to something on Orangutan Island on the Discovery Channel or Animal Planet or wherever it came on. They were relocating 'tans to an island and trying to get them to fend for themselves and they found a pool with some catfish in it and proceeded to rake them out with a stick and eat them... Kinda the way I use to fish in Arkansas...
  13. My question is about eggs... Who is the first person that said... "Hey... Somethin' just came out of that chicken's butt... let's cook it and eat it!!!" Trav... That was pretty much the answer I was looking for. I've heard a few guys say there is a definate priority to that list, but you said it right that it depends on the situation.
  14. I agree totally... awesome pics....
  15. Dodge, baby... Nuttin' but a Dodge in this driveway.
  16. Well, it took a while, but I'm finally back to work. Well, not quite. But I start at St John's on June 2nd in their IT department. It's an entry level job, but goes with the degree I'm going after. I'll be working a 4 day week, 10 hours a day Saturday through Tuesday. A three day weekend in the middle of the week... hmmmmm... Wonder what I can do with that time? Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.
  17. Here's something to keep you from getting too homesick while in Alaska...
  18. Welcome to the forum...
  19. Yeah, thanks Michael...
  20. Hmmmmm.... That fly looks familiar...
  21. While I have done it when I first started fishing, I have a hard time buying a fly rod through the mail or from a big box store who don't seem to know a 5 wt from a knotless leader... My advice would go to your local fly shop and cast a few rods to get a setup that will suit you and fit you for a while. Yes, $200 is not a lot for a rod, reel, and line, but you can find something within your budget, I'm sure. TFO is a good one to look at, but be sure and cast some others before stettling on one. You'll be glad you did.
  22. Nice pheesh!!! What section did you do well with the fly? Did you fish Bayou Access? What did it look like? I was in the area, but didn't get a chance to get over there. Now I wish I had...
  23. Uh... It's long, round, and has funny looking rings on it and some line and a reel... I'll be by to pick it up in the morning.... (Hope you find the owner....)
  24. You... I... That's.... uh.... What.... um.... Oh... Never mind......... OK... that other part about dressing up dogs.... I'm with ya a hundred percent there Bud... Now pictures of grandbabies in Poppa's hunting cap... that's a different story.... I resemble that remark...
  25. THE BEAST IS DEAD... LONG LIVE THE BEAST!!! LONG LIVE UNCLE TED!! But I do have one problem with Uncle Ted and that's his exotic game passion. I'm not too hip on exotics being raised for sport outside their native country... Except it might keep the species safe from extinction. So, all in all, I'm just on the fence with that one.
