  1. Sold. Thank you for the interest.
  2. The native range of smallmouth in general says they aren't. Smallmouth aren't native any further west than eastern Kansas and Oklahoma with the exception of the Missouri River to the north.
  3. Do the butterscotch sides work for any particular reason? I figured that the belly of things they are going to attack on the surface would be gray to pearl in color, unless I am wrong.
  4. Owensby, no, they aren't native. No, the smallmouth in the Arkansas wouldn't be Neosho Smallmouth.
  5. Yes it's a sunfish, same as a largemouth, crappie, longear or bluegill. He is asking why it doesn't have the elongated ear flap. There could be any number of reasons from predation to a birth defect.
  6. I am looking for recommendations for colors on wtd lures for clear water and any water for that matter. I like the sexy dawg jr but am open to whatever. Thank you.
  7. No, but it does mean that some judgmental person with a soap box can determine you don't give a dung about the NFOW without doing the requisite research for such a bold proclamation. Perhaps a little digging and he could have seen that you don't tag the deer hit by cars, fish for bass during the "closed" season or even keep a few fish now and again. I don't think he knows how far off the deep end he waded Justin. Even cleated felt soles won't save his butt in that run.
  8. If you are losing fish after the take and "hook set" it isn't a matter of your drag, it's a matter of not setting the hook. There are barbs on those hooks. Cross his eyes and leave your drag alone. Don't worry about taking a scale out every couple hours to make sure it is set to x pounds, just set the darn hook.
  9. The RC baits don't always run true or suspend out of the box.
  10. I bought one of these off eBay on a whim a few weeks back. It is a nice lure that lures in bass from a distance. I took it out to the local 7 acre lake near home yesterday and hammered a few fish in a short time. The hooks are the same as on the jerkbaits, Katsuage out barb trebles, and they are sticky.
  11. For the time being, I am specifically looking for Megabass 110 or X-80 jerks. Thank you, but I did get started on Megabass and it is a slippery slope.
  12. I have three LC Pointer 78 SP that I wish to trade for a Megabass Vision 110 in a good color for 2-5' visibility and something else like an XR10 or an STX or two. Let me know what is fair to you. I have never caught anything on these and have only gotten them wet on two occasions. The colors are Chartreuse shad, striped shiner and aurora black.
  13. I prefer d, the first version...any idea on pricing?
  14. Sand for bow weight. I am considering removing seats and yoke again and going solo seat in the center to avoid the need for it.
  15. I have an idea, figure out what you want to pull, and check tow ratings on the vehicles you are interested in. For example, with the 3.6 AWD Terrain, the tow capacity is 3500#. The new Jeep Patriot/Compass has a max of 2000#. The new Ford Escape has a max of 3500# with the 2.0 Ecoboost and the tow package. The Subaru Outback 3.6 has a max of 3000#. This information is readily available and it depends upon your use.
  16. This is the first one, caught on the third cast. This is the bait.
  17. As an update, I caught five greenfish yesterday on the French Pearl OB MB X-80 TD yesterday on the lake. I hadn't had a take on a jerk before and wasn't sure what to expect. They hit it like a worm strike. It is awesome.
  18. All wheel drive is more than adequate. What you have to understand is that with AWD, all four wheels turn. With your standard unlocked, open 4WD system, the wheels that are spinning get the most power. This is why Subarus are almost unstoppable in most normal situations.
  19. Wharfrat, look at Kokanee casting rods. They are routinely light power and longer.
  20. My current 5'6" L spin rod is a Quantum Teton Trout. It is a neat little rod and has whipped a couple nice smallmouth in fast water.
  21. I thought that was what Jerm was fishing on that float. I am not sure why the new names for old techniques, but these companies have to make money somehow, right?
  22. Plenty of water for trout.
  23. That run looks prime for a seine. I kid. I would likely toss a Panther Martin, undressed, in 1/16oz and swim it with the current along those root wads.
  24. Wrench, I agree.
