  1. Great story!
  2. PM got muddy, I know he wants a coosa, for $600 bucks everybody should jump on that. My wife has an extra spinning wheel and plenty of wool if you need a new hobby.
  3. I'm down with Tank 7 and OPP (yeah you know me), fly looks good too, and the bigfoot video was a wonderful appetizer, well done as usual!
  4. outside on the ends are pretty bad, I fix them with F26 construction adhesive to give them strength. Insides are pretty good so they don't leak. If you are interested I can take a closer look at what I have left, they are out in the weeds somewhere.
  5. I got some buffalos I'll let go for $75 bucks, not the best but probably won't leak.
  6. I knew what it was going to be before I clicked on it. My wife got me a guy on a buffalo t-shirt for my birthday, I Love IT!
  7. If this was really an attempt for more govt control I really don't think they would have folded to the pressure and rescinded the blue way. Crisis averted.
  8. We've talked about it, we had Big Smith down here a few years ago for our 10 year wedding anniversary, they had played our wedding reception as well. My problem is summer is too busy and by fall I'm worn out. Need to try and get it going for early October or something. If anyone wants to organize it, we'll get'r done.
  9. The Dillard's rock, they were the Darlings on the Andy Griffith show, nice going Mitch!
  10. Big Smith, Ricky Skaggs, Old Crow Medicine Show, Railroad Earth to name a few.
  11. maybe, but if they take my land then I can relax a little!
  12. I usually dead drift them under a big nymph, but often catch fish when it starts to swing so try both. You can get the smaller bows swinging them in the fast shallow water.
  13. soft hackles working well the last couple days for browns and rainbows
  14. We are a skeptical people here in the Ozarks, once again I believe it leads to politics. I would guess the majority of people in the Conn. River watershed are east coast liberals, whereas I can only think of 6 liberals in the White River watershed. I'm with you Wise, not really sure about where I stand, I don't feel threatened by it and really doubt we ever see anything change because of it.
  15. I should be better educated on this topic than I am since it directly effects my property, but from what I have seen it really changes nothing at this point. I don't worry about a land grab, and while a riparian buffer might be a good idea, it would not be good for riverside campgrounds, depending on what restrictions they might impose.
  16. Hope you make your quit date F&F, congrats on the progress you have made. We need you around for a long time to come to keep us dreaming about stripers and walleye!
  17. The economy and gas prices have people changing their hobbies and vacation habits?
  18. I agree, but insurance companies don't even want to take it to court, costs more than settling. I should just catch and relocate, but always get selfish with my time and take the easy way out. I will try and be better this year, but often either a camper or employee get to them first. By the way, I used to check headboats for the state of florida, did you work on any on the east coast?
  19. I will disagree in my campground situation. I have had several people (including a $2500 insurance pay out) bitten at night when stepping on a copperhead. I personally love copperheads as they are not aggresive at all and are beautiful, but I can't afford to have campers being bitten by them so I have killed all except one, which I caught and relocated because some ladies didn't want me killing it, cottonmouths are more of a concern, but have only seen 2 in 10 years (RIP).
  20. Al is dead on with the string trick, we use it on campers all the time. It is easy and relatively painless, only the adults complain, kids are amazed how easy it is. Anyone who fishes should know this trick, curious as to how much the ER charged to get it out, I'll do it for half, or free if you rent boats!
  21. June can be some great fishing if you know what you are doing.
