    One more question is going from MK mounted TM to a MG mount is there any difference in mounting holes?

    Thanks for all the advise. I was looking at the pedals and remotes for both units. What a big difference.

    So you are saying go with a longer shaft if going wireless? What is to long?

    How is fishing with the remote vs pedal?

    I would have to remove the oil tank for a 3rd battery. Which is disconnected anyway. so there could be room for 3 batt. I agree with adequate TM power just not over kill.

    J-Doc i agree on the 50lb thrust would be better for my unit. The problem i see withe cable steer on this boat is there is not much room for the pedal assy now with the current unit and i have long legs. This is one reason why i am interested in the wirless. Not familiar with MK but going to look at it. 12 or 24 volt is still up in the air on what models and options that 12 volt have. Does 12 volt have the same options as the 24 volt wireless

    RPS i am planning on using sonar that comes with trolling motor probally wont be for a little while i cannot afford a sonar right now. It has a old Garmin sonar that works which is fine. i will post some pics later.

    i am looking into purchasing a 2000 Lowe160w and it is needing a new trolling motor. The new technology is a lot different from the old days. Leaning towards a 24 volt system. Looked at the terranova ipilot gps wirelless with foot control option, also the motor guides. Looking for feedback on boat and trolling motor options that you all use like and dislikes. Thanks Michael

    Heading up to see my son at MIZZOU and would like to take a float with him, wife, and 12 year old daughter this weekend would like a to rent and a shuttle service. Nothing to crazy as it will be my daughter first float trip. Thanks in advance. Michael

    I was just down at lileys for the 4 days and reserved a boat for 2 days of the trip. The fog being so thick in the morning and the amount of water that was running it was not I good idea for me and my son to try and fish in those conditions in a John boat so we cancelled the boat and tried to fish other locations. Fishing can be done anytime conditions allow but some one loosing a life or injured it's just not worth the risk for me.

    I had the pleasure of meeting and fishing with Jim 2 years ago on my birthday at lileys. We happen to be both staying there and just got to talking and sure enough OAF came into conversation. He will be missed RIP Jim.
