I can follow most of what you're saying about this new rigging method but would like to see a picture if possible. Sounds pretty intriguing to me. One of the reasons I've always liked a 4/0 was the additional weight of the hook, but understand about the potential of hurting the fish.

Doubtful, when 40-50 percent of the tagging study fish were recaught in the first couple of months, makes me believe these are either new fish or displaced downstream by the food

My guess is a lot of big largemouth got moved into the river system from farm ponds and Simpson lake when it flooded.

How quickly can you name all significant size north flowing Ozark Streams and rivers? ps. Give us a head start, Al Agnew ?
