I've recently read that Reel Magic and WD 40 will penetrate and destroy the outer coating, causing a reduction in the strength of the line after a short period of time. Of corse, Reel Magic was designed for mono, because it was invented before the newer lines were invented.
I've been using the Kevin Van Dams line conditioner for a while and really like it. It was specifically designed for the newer fluorocarbons and hybrids, as well as mono. It always seemed the line memory, and especially kinks in fluoro were the big problem, the kinks caused breakage in the line, especially after a birds nest. Lure and line conditioner is supposed to actually adhere to the outside surface of the line, and wont come off until its abraided. Just was wondering if you guys used this stuff and what are your experiences like?
