I agree with most of what Jerry says, it's just his delivery that needs a little work! But I have to admit it was a tad immature for Sam to be on TV kissing his partner with Joy at the announcement. But of course we aren't allowed to say anything that would remotely suggest that we don't agree.

Just take a canoe trip with Al Agnew and watch. I think he anticipates what's going to happen and makes a slight adjustment, that way the canoe is always going straight. You will greatly increase the number of casts, and that equals more water covered and more fish caught. I wait too long to adjust and end up only getting one or two casts before I crash into the rootwad I was trying to fish.

The thing that struck me about the attack was that I learned today was that my brother in law (one of the witnesses) told me that the pit bull had my dog in its mouth for about 45-60 seconds...they were following him around kicking him in the ribs and he wouldn't let go. The neighbor lady who owned the dog is about 100 pounds soaking wet and had lifted the dogs front legs off the ground by the collar twice trying to choke it to let go and it wouldn't. It's a miracle my dog is not dead. Next time it could be one of my children running around a bush.

No surprise to me, but the guy next door is not cooperating at all with the police, not good for him.

Yes, after I reported it the whole neighborhood came forward and contacted me. The LEO/animal control agent got about 6 statements form others who have had issues. She said after she approaches the homeowner...which should be today, that 90% of the time the homeowner turns over the dog. If you submit a claim against their homeowners policy they will drop their insurance like a hot potato.

Yes, it's a people problem, the dog should've been put down long ago... but those dogs are on a different level with the ability to kill.

Last weekend my little Yorkie was in my yard and was mauled by the neighbors pit bull. The dog was 80 pounds or so I'm guessing and charged thru an electric fence and attacked. After a $1600 vet bill and 3 days in critical condition, she's going to be ok. I'm getting pretty tired of people defending pit bulls. I'm also getting pretty tired of these adoption shelters giving out a dangerous dog (this one was a rescue) to any Tom, Dick and Harry with no clue what they are dealing with. People always say put bulls get a bad rap....to that I say, it's DNA and they are bred to be killing machines so don't give me that. This was the 3rd dog that has been attacked in my neighborhood by that same dog. I believe some, not all pit bull, Rottweiler and Doberman owners have macho issues.

Maybe it's that freaky period around the spawn when they are fickle! Who knows.....the spring is hit and miss, I like the fall better

The worst part is....you used to be able to buy em for $1.50. Taking them away makes you miss them more. Now there are better baits than the wiggle wart, but they cost $12-$25.
