  1. Hey you moroooon! If you look about 5 posts up you will see a map that I gave the original poster pointing out a good spot to wade/bank fish, now stay off the sauce when posting and completely read the post. :)
  2. Correction Joe, it was Derek Smalls with the cucumber
  3. I can second Big Creek being ultra clear, Isnt that the one at Sam A Baker Park? None More Black!
  4. Same as you except my rods are 1 ft longer and the one spinning rod is a medium/medium light
  5. I'll supply the boat, and you supply the fishing spots, Deal? Let's do it!
  6. The farthest down river I have been is a mile or so upstream of Glencoe.
  7. I think otters would finish the job, the pics we posted are way more than likely from gigs
  8. The problem is the only people who actually see it happen are the ones in the boat with the guys who are doing it. All that's left is the evidence of scars on the gamefish. All of our jaw flopping has been useless so far and something needs to be done. I know of a movement underway to start to make a positive change.
  9. Midday and a small jig...the small jig does it again
  10. Tightline, your point is well taken. It just seems to me the poaching from the illegal giggers seems to be getting worse and something has to be done.
  11. Nothing will jar your bones like a big Smallie slamming a spinnerbait! Sounds like you guys had fun!
  12. What is the model number of your favorite? I know nothing about these underwater cameras
  13. Hey Ron, what kind of an underwater camera do you use?
  14. This is a good spot to bank fish the Meramec fairly close to Eureka. It might be bank fish only now, just be careful!!
  15. But how do you hide your rod from your wife in the trunk of the car when you are going on an "outdoor picnic" with the family? This way you don't have to hear "You really didn't bring your fishing rod again did you??"
  16. Honestly Drew, what are you trying to accomplish by posting this?

Way to go coldwater!, Spring and fall sure are fun! Nice Feesh I've seen Paul Dallas catch three of those with a cocktail in one hand!
  18. Wow, nice fish!!!! thanks for posting
  19. This new short shank treble form Gamakatsu looks like a great idea. It's got a short shank to maintain the smaller profile of crankbaits and keeps the lures from fouling up because of the front and back hook getting tangled. Also, the eye of the hook is reshaped to be able to change out hooks in the field without the need of split ring pliers! http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Magic_Eye_Short_Shank_Round_Bend_Treble_Hook/descpage-GSSTH.html
  20. Very nice fish Ron, I will use 6 lb on an ultra clear stream like the one in the pictures. I think because you are an expert class fisherman you know what the limits of your equipment are. Good job!
  21. What you experienced with Perleen is what spawned the "trophy line" craze. The people who were going for line class records were sometimes greatly disappointed when their record was rejected after their traditional line broke at a much higher rating than the label read. Also,Some people thought that "Trophy line" was somehow a more superior line than standard, they soon found out that it broke at the exact label rating.
  22. Just got this video thru the smallmouth alliance, Kevin Cracraft and his wife Rita were fishing on St. Patricks day on the Current river when she caught this: First watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOdkyKsEnoI Then watch this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH0_h-jZL2g
  23. I think Mr. Joe Claxton and I would have had some words.
  24. Saw the pics of the little girls, unbelievable
  25. A Rigs for crappie? Whooda thunk it ?
