  1. I'm agreeing with what you're saying Ronnie, I don't like the idea of drones either. As Edward Snowden has pointed out, we are toast already. The little phone you carry is the biggest offender, some of the apps are stealing info and sending it to foreign lands.
  2. For illegal giggers I hope they get busted by any means possible, I don't like the idea of drones either but it's already happening. Satellites already can read license plates
  3. Those are Dutch's jigs
  4. When I do make minnow patterns, I usually make them like this. That Phil Shafer guy at Stockton taught me to make these about 15 years ago.
  5. Let me know how you like them. I love marabou, looks like that's all he uses.
  6. I have no problem with Johnny Morris whatsoever. If the guys didn't want to sell, they shouldn't have sold.
  7. So why not use drones to fly over gigging boats at night? It sure would make them think twice about sticking game fish! Then they WILL know there are eyes watching them. http://www.break.com/video/amazon-prime-air-with-this-super-cool-drone-video-2983584
  8. I guess only time will tell. Remember Chrysler bought Mercedes.
  9. Very nice Ron!
  10. Why was Fishing Holdings LLC for sale in the first place?
  11. I can hook you up
  12. FWIW, you can 3D print Polycarbonite (Lexan). All you need is a scan from a laser scanner. So you could easily copy ANY lure on the market. Even without taking them apart (CT Scan). The future of stealing lure design continues to easier/more affordable every day. Kind of scary really. And of course, this doesn't just apply to the fishing world. Everyday a new material becomes available to 3D print....and at finer slice sizes. You now can print metal too, but at larger, less detailed slice thicknesses. But they now have the ability to print fine detail in plastic and add a metal coating that adheres to the plastic and keeps the very detailed shape. We are just on the edge of game changing technology that will revolutionize manufacturing in all industries.
  13. Do you have a link to these new Zig Jigs?
  14. Some expensive equipment sucks, and some is worth every penny. Most good fisherman know the difference.
  15. Those are some nice fish Alex, for a young man you seem to get the job done! You are the real deal!
  16. Let's know how you do!!
  17. I think Wrench brings up a good point. There are 2 aspects: Do you want best performance while ripping thru the water at 60 mph or more? Or do you want the most fishable boat? On a related note: IMHO, I wish we didn't have to make the tourney guys think they need to go 80 mph to compete. I've seen these guys pull up to a point and basically skid to a stop, throw the trolling motor down and start hurling blades while the boat was still shaking. Seems to always happen when they know someone's watching. I hope I never get to that point in my fishing.
  18. I think Old Plug is correct here. One day a couple of weeks ago, Smalliebigs and I fished a spot for whites and hybrids where we had to make extremely long casts with a spinning rod. My wrist and forearm were very sore that day and into the next. Luckily, it didn't turn into tennis elbow. I've had it before, for several months and it just kind of healed on its own. Maybe this is a good time to make the switch to a baitcaster and put the Ned down for a while. ?
  19. Nice fish! Keep us posted!
  20. I noticed when I scanned them that there were many variations of the "Original" warts. Some had line tie recesses, some didn't. The plastic didn't always appear to be the same either. Someone told me once that the ones made in Mexico were the good ones......I really don't know. But about 5-6 years ago I was hired to scan the original molds. They sat in my office for a week on my surface table.
  21. He was, and still is, one of the good ones!
  22. This is good news!
  23. I miss Fins and Feathers, he hasn't posted ???
  24. I know some of the things can be automated, like how they do their pultrusion process, but it's going to be hard to replace the guys laying out the color schemes on the lamination of the hulls....which are all made to order.
