  7. Unless things have changed recently the only retail place to get the craws is near st Clair. Other than that online as of now.
  8. Do you have a recipe for smoking walleye? I got a traegar pellet grill/smoker and would like to give it a try!

  14. If it's anything like spring creek 10 miles east it was churning chocolate at the 160 bridge yesterday.
  15. I'm just thankful our forums here aren't constantly polluted with ridiculously redundant pointless daily threads with emojis saluting and drinking coffee. Gotta get the post count up!!!
  16. I been throwing 3/8 and I feel like sometimes I'm having to reel it to fast to keep it off bottom. Might have to give that a try!
  17. Whose the chick in the pics at the bottom btw curious did you have to fish a rig really deep? I don't know if I've been weighting mine enough to get down to where they're hanging out.
  18. The saddle hump near Oakland is right at the waterline right now a mile out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by 80+ fow, definitely would end someone's day.
  19. Spring creek was fine a few days ago when I put in. The ramps concrete isn't great and has a few little pot holes but not bad.
  20. I just bought one the other day. I will use the industry standard the vision 110 to compare it to. The bill is noticeably wider than the 110. More spoon shaped. Felt slightly bigger than the 110 as well but don't know that for sure. When you jerk it, it does provide more resistance in the water than the 110. Seems to get down noticabley deeper as well. Needed one suspend dot to suspend in 47 degree water. Caught a few fish on it. Casts well. It has 4 or 5 loose bbs in the bottom but one is always stuck in the back of the chamber unless you smack it hard on a counter or something. Then goes right back to being stuck again. I thought it was that individual bait but all 7 of them at the tackle shop did the same thing so might be designed that way. Over all a decent bait for the money and beneficial if your trying to get down deeper than your average Jb to that true 10' range.
  21. Easy way to think of it is in relation to the flow of the water. So the head waters near Forsyth are up and the water flows down toward the dam making it the extreme (bottom or lower) end of the lake. This applies to all lakes.
  22. I catch a few here and there . But there are a few easy deals that should work that time of year. A lot of it depends on the weather that given day. If you want smallies specifically though I would definitely stay on the main lake white river portion. Anywhere from the dam to lead hill is packed with them. On cloudy rainy days I like to throw a jerkbait on bluff ends or a wiggle wart on do nothing gravel points with wind blowing in on them. Any natural colors will work. Sunny and calm days as mentioned are more of drop bait days. With our lake being super clear a high def craw by tackle hd would slay them. Your typical offerings like a tube, drop shot, jig, or Ned will catch them too. I'd try the same areas as above but look deeper if you want the "trophy". When it's sunny I'll often times catch them as deep as 30ish ft. Finally an overlooked pattern for catching a ton of brown fish on bull is swimming a grub. 3/8 jig head and a 4 or 5' Yamamoto single tail in a smoke color. Find the pea gravel points let it drop all the way to the bottom and slow roll it back making sure your always with in a foot or two of the bottom. Also sub in a kietech as desired in lieu of a grub. good luck!
  23. No wonder pbJ and okeechobee craw are good options here!
  24. Worth mentioning that the current format of the "central pro-am" now aptly named the central pro elite has done away with co anglers allowing the boater to fish without potential hindrance from a co in the back.
