That bite was ridiculous....and Suarez has done that at least two other times.

    World Cup

The reason they don't play overtime is goals are a premium and usually very hard to come by. You could potentially play another 45 or maybe even 90 minutes. Each team is only allowed 3 subs. Unless they change the substitution rules for overtime or begin taking players off the field to create more space and scoring chances... then just playing an overtime in any kind of tournament is almost impossible. Guys would drop over from exhaustion and it would affect your next game. Most of the starters are running 8-12 kilometer's a game. As far as the cards yellow is = a warning (like in baseball) and a red is an ejection and suspension (like in baseball). It is quite similar to other sports...just different terms. We have yellow flags in football which I am sure many outside the United States think is weird.

The diving is silly, but is part of the game. Every team does it..some are better actors than others. Ties are like the BCS...they are annoying, but they sure make things interesting. There is no real good way to decide soccer games in overtime...penalty kicks kinda suck, but you could potentially have teams playing forever. No real good answer. This world cup has been awesome to watch and Thursday is going to be incredible. I think ghana wins, but we tie germany 1-1 and we both advance.

    World Cup

Gutsy and huge win for the US last night. Ghana was always going to control the possession game for the most part, but there were way to many terrible passes. It happens especially in the first game of a world cup with tons of pressure. Bradley played poorly and Dempsey stated after the game he was having trouble breathing after getting hit in the nose. The loss of Altidore is really going to hurt. We had trouble moving forward without him up top. He may not be a great goal scorer (very streaky), but he is a lot to handle with his back to the goal. Johansson look like a midget and was ineffective in that role. I expect us to be much sharper against Portugal, but it will be a similar type game. We will spend a lot of the time defending. Really we just need a tie in one of the next two (preferably against Portugal) and we should advance. It would be nice to have Landon Donovan on the team now...
  5. I take fish like that on a fly rod all day long super fun!
  6. Hike the Taum Sauk trail in the winter time after a snow....wife and I did this once and the waterfall was still half running water and half frozen creating hug icicles...it was a pretty scenic trail.
  7. I see what you did there! Rediculous. lol.
  8. It is ridiculous and not rediculous...I see that all the time. Secondly, "I don't have a dog in this fight" is also highly annoying....especially when followed by 3 paragraphs of text arguing the topic. I should out myself as I chronically leave out entire words in my sentences...which I find annoying, but unable to correct.
  9. The kids fishing lake at Busch is lake # 12 although 11 is a good lake as well. Suson Park off of Tesson Ferry is another place to try...several lakes to fish...just head down 141 to 21 it is close to Fenton. Plenty of stuff for them to do if the fish are not biting.
  10. There are many lakes that have an overabundance of bass....the C/R lakes come to mind. the first few years they were opened I caught several nice bass, but since then they are mostly 12 inch cookie cutter's. Would thinks some harvest would be beneficial, but don't overlook the Bluegill fishing...there are some giants that can be caught and super fun on lightweight tackle.
  11. Yep, great pics...always enjoy looking at them. Thanks for sharing.
  12. check out the MDC website if your looking for information on "big bass" lakes at Busch. From experience it is pretty accurate. I have fished every lake at Busch and I have got some nice fish, but the bigger ones are educated. Now days I take my fly rod mostly and have fun with the dinks all day long....catch some really nice Bluegill as well.
  13. That is what I was thinking....

    Nfl Draft

The fact he is a mizzou guy certainly peeks my interest...and it is fair to say I probably wouldn't care as much if he went to a different school...I think that is a pretty natural way to feel. I have zero problems with his sexuality, but that doesn't mean he gets a pass for bonehead decisions. I am glad they postponed the series...just play football...if he is good enough there will be time for that stuff later...

    Nfl Draft

The reality show is a bad move by Sam. There might be a time and place for it, but this is not it. Someone mentioned feeling a bit deceived and I kinda feel the same way. I guess he is making the most of the attention he is getting, but I don't see how it won't be a distraction for his teammates.
  16. 36,000?...seems like a huge amount. Anyone no if that is more than normal? According to the fish survey on the MDC they schocked a 27.5 inch brown last fall and last spring they stocked 7000 brown trout in the Blue Ribbon section.

    Nfl Draft

I hope Sam makes it and I will be routing for him. From a comfort level I think the Rams were the best possible choice, but Wayne is right he did not look good during his pro day and as OTF said he will face stiff competition. There were parts of the season, during SEC play, he disappeared. I think he was drafted about were he should have been, maybe a round higher, but the "tweener" label unfortunately fits him well. Kony Ealy was much more consistent throughout the whole year, and it showed in the draft. Sam is a high motor guy, and he could be productive on special teams if can't crack the pass rush rotation. Regardless, it won't be for lack of effort, and hopefully if he doesn't make it, the media won't turn it into a circus...because he project as a border line player. Hopefully, those projections are wrong.
  18. My wife had a pit bull once and at the time it was the best dog she ever owned, but she will also tell you that they had to wrestle with it each day to help work out the aggression otherwise it would have gone bananas. She never had an issue, but she (now we) will never have another one because of the work required to keep it's aggression in check. As for the neighbor in question, I am pretty sure his home owners insurance requires an actual fenced yard...don't think a an electric fence will keep them covered. It is different if someone comes into their yard over a fence and the dog bites as opposed to the dog coming into yours...that is a big no no and could make them vulnerable to lawsuit etc...should you want to go that route. We have a Siberian Husky who will turn 11 this summer...and it is by far the best dog we have ever owned. They are way to friendly for watch dogs, but they are excellent with kids. If you can get past the shedding and the exercise requirements they are wonderful.

    Nfl Draft

I like the rams picks...interested to see tre mason run. Sam is gonna have a difficult time making the rams roster, but I think EJ gaines is underated. Here is a fact I found interesting...Texas had no one drafted...not one player...that is hard to believe.

Would the chiefs take manziel at 23?

    Nfl Draft

I want the Rams to take Clowney at 2 if the Texans don't take him, but it sounds like he will be the overall number 1 pick. If Clowney would fall to number 2 many think the Rams would trade down, which might not be a bad idea. Either way I think the draft is going to be full of surprises.
  22. Fished new places is always part adventure part fishing....one of things that makes it so unpredictable. Good luck with those smallies!
  23. Yeah, like quillback mentioned neither would have stayed for very long.. they would have moved to one of the elite jobs, but at the time snyder was hired he was all the buzz and a coach k assistant. MU was probably a better job then than now, but both would probably moved on.
  24. Yeah...that is painful!
  25. 2) Bill Self 3) John Calipari
