I 'll try better this time. lol. I have a hand crafted fly tying desk that my wife had specially made from an old piece of furniture. It is actually pretty sweet...she did a great job. I have two fly rod set up's that run between $350 $450. I have a third set up that runs between $10-$12. I have two Shimano Citica reels with a split grip St. Croix mojo bass rod. I have neoprene waders and breathable waders. I have two chest/sling packs for fly fishing gear. I own five coolers...none work like a yeti...but I can throw them at one. I have plano tackle boxes with plastic worm's stuck to the bottom and another sling pack for bass gear. 10 year old stink bait An Ugly stick A zebco 33 A unidentified spinning rod/reel...actually two...bonus! Minnow bucket complete with aerator - still works too! A life jacket...although I have never been in a boat A old stuffed musky head my grandpa gave me....not sure what happened to the body Enough fly tying material to outfit most of the forum...I can never find anything useful...but my dog loves to eat the feathers Clearly I am Elite...It must be the Tiger Blood. All kidding aside if I could by nicer....I would.

You are elite if you own this boat: Or is use: The Dancin Eel Mighty bite Banjo minnow's Color Selector by Roland Martin Pocket Fisherman I have the Banjo minnows....I mean they are genetically engineered to catch fish.

Good luck and hope you have a great time. If the river is crowded look for big fish in areas that don't usually hold fish. That has worked for me when the obvious holes are getting pounded and the fish run for cover.

1/2 game. What exactly is that? How you do come up with that number? Why not a quarter or 3 quarters or a whole actual game. I am sure he took money, but how do you prove someone took cash if you can't trace it? He cheated, but he new how to get away with it. And I really don't see the problem with college students signing autograph's for money, but I suppose it opens up a whole can of worms.

It is really easy to be pessimistic and predict "my team won't win" because well most don't! Way to take a risk:) 99% of teams in the country don't win conference championships. There are only 6 teams that do ( that matter). There are only a few teams that will challenge for a conference championship year in and year out. Most other teams have a shot every now and then. Expectations of a conference championship year in and year out are unrealistic for all but a select few programs IF people don't understand why 4 teams left the Big 12 then you clearly have not been paying attention. Sure money was a big factor, but stability, and equality was as well. I don't blame Texas...they maximize their revenue and exposure within the conference bylaws. Smart for them...bad for everybody else. Terrible conference management by the former commissioner. Conference championships? That is probably not going to happen in the SEC in the near future and I am ok with that. It may never happen. I would rather play and compete against the best any day than be intimidated by the competition in the SEC. What kind of message is that! But that is just me. Maybe we should go the WAC so we can win every year and feel better about ourselves. I think Missouri may surprise a few people, but no predictions from me. Last year was a mess so tough to take much away from it IMO. If we stay healthy...this year will be a much better gauge of what we need to do to compete. Clowney is a beast...that guy scares me.

I watched the Man U and Swansea game as well. I was actually surprised (also encouraged) it was on a national broadcast. I believe that NBC has now purchased the right to air the MLS games. Fox soccer (free if you have direct TV) shows replayed Premier league and UEFA cup matches. this comes in handy when I am feeding the little guy in the middle of the night.

Years ago at bush wildlife I saw a guy get out of a truck screaming gibberish. He grabbed a lawn chair and a cooler and headed for the lake. He walked as for out as he could, sat down, cracked a beer, and then took all his clothes off. The whole time chanting some gibberish. I remember my dad saying "This is why we go to college." While fishing the Current a squirrel fell out of a tree and landed in the stream a few away from me. Startled the heck out of me. Again on the Current one evening...the fog was thick...only a few fee to of visibility. I rounded a bend and out of the fog I see a heron heading straight for me. He saw me about the same time I saw him, made some weird noise and changed course just in time to avoid my head. I nearly crapped my pants. Felt like I was being stalked by a Pterodactyl from Jurassic Park. Probably the oddest was fishing a city lake up in STL. It was fall and I would fish it for an hour or two at night. One day I am about to release a bass and I feel something cold on the back of my leg...it made my hair stand up. I jump back and so does the critter looking at me in amusement and staring at my fish. Turned out to be a fox...that I am assuming people had fed. For two weeks every time I showed up he would shadow me around the lake staying about 5 feet away. He would get excited when I would catch a fish, but not happy when I let them go. Never saw him after that two week period, but it was nice of him to keep me company.

Those are fantastic pictures...well done.

I fish the mineral fork the habitat is about perfect IMO...a mix of almost everything. Problem is the pressure and the poachers cause that water is about perfect for a wade trip or float trip.

Yep, this very true. I was the victim of hit/run. This young gal was traveling the same direction as me, but on the wrong side of the road....still to this day don't how she did what she did. Long story short I had to have friends run the plates, get me the address, and approach her myself. she paid for damages, admitted she was drunk etc. I got my car fixed and let it go, but the police did nothing even when I showed them pictures of her car and gave them her address!

USA storms back with a 4-3 road win over Bosnia-Herzegovinia in Sarejevo. Altidore with the hat trick.

Dang I fall asleep at the wheel and I missed 4 pages of dedicated soccer talk. It is easy to be pessimistic about soccer in the US...it has failed before, but this time feels different...at least to me. STL needs a venue...that is going to be an issue...and the venue cannot be in STL City...the taxes will kill them like it does the Blues. Gotta look west. Attended both the Real Madrid game and the Chelsea game with my brother. Seriously had a great time. Soccer would do great in STL. I would buy season tickets.

Are the hatchery improvements finally completed? I am not throwing the towel in on Bennett quite yet. My understanding is it takes about a year to produce quality fish and even longer to produce bigger fish. I guess I am hoping that quality will improve again as we get into next year. I think they need to something do the stream itself though. Those long dredged out pools can be a bit boring to fish after a while. More riffles please.

ha! I wonder if they will do field testing.... (Click on the video entitled "Originial You Tube") http://www.nuttybuddy.com/360-view.html

A Summer's Worth Of Rain Falls In One Week In Missouri
stlfisher replied to a topic in General Angling Discussion
Just an insane amount of rain in one weeks time over the same area. Up near STL It has been pretty dry except for a thundershower today. I have only had a couple inches of rain at my house since mid June. Feast or famine seems like the norm these days. -
Thanks guys. Can't wait until he is old enough to go fishing!

Here are a couple pics of the new additon.

US is looking good so far. Granted the competition is not great, but they have been deystroying teams as of late. Klinsman has them actually attacking instead of always sitting back. It will be very interesting to see them in the next World Cup. I think they are progressing in the right direction.

Thanks 7 11 is a popular weight! I will post pics as soon as i can. Most of the pics are on my phone which took a dunking give him a bath. Then my dog ate the replacement! Thanks JD. He was 2.5 weeks early so he probably would have been 9 something if he would have went full term! He is up to 10.6 lb's now and not so skinny!

This is a bit late, but I recently became a dad. Tyler was born on June 12 at 6:33 PM after a crazy long and stressful labor for mom. He was 7 lb's 11 ounces. Both mom and Tyler and are doing great. He is one handsome fella. I will post some pics once I get them all transferred to my computer.

If your Tiger you gotta do better than a lady from Perkins. Lefty, Fred Couples, and Payne Stewart (RIP) were always my favorites. I still remember several years ago at the US Open when Phil put his tee shot on 18th off the tent. Doh! Gotta respect a guy that always goes for it.

stlfisher replied to NoLuck's topic in General Angling Discussion
Yes, it is. Maybe this will at least lead to clarification of the law to prevent further disputes. -
Fatal Shooting On The Meremac Near Steelville

I am not even sure where to start with all this, but there has to be more to this story. We desperately need a fundamental change in government and our society before we manage to ruin ourselves. -
I have had the same experience as you all. Did the best at the skate park lake though. Lost a big one 4-5 years ago. Used to see lot's of gar too.
