    Batter Up!

yeah, he is going to need more rest. Matheny must have read your post...Cruz got the start last night and had a big RBI.
  2. Personally, I think Solar will eventually be the way to go. Put the solar panel's in orbit above the earth. Once NASA figure's out how to transport the energy from space effectively you have an unlimited supply of clean energy free from atmospheric distruption on earth. It is not easy to transport that kind of energy, but withing the next 50-100 years we should be able to figure it out.
  3. Well said. If only Windmill slaughters were our biggest problem. I like my windows, but I am totatlly cool with gettng rid of cat's.j/k.

You can't feel good about paying him for 8 more years if you are the Angels. Yikes! Beltran is looking great so far, hopefully he does not wear down the second half.

Card's looking good at 25-13. Shelby Miller is impressive. With the young arms they have on staff and 2-3 studs in triple A the starting pitching looks to have a lot of potential the next several years. Bullpen, while it has stabilized, could use some upgrades. Interesting that Carpenter is throwing again...could he close down the strecth. if healthy that would be awesome. Freese needs to get going too.
  6. i drive right over the 21 bridge everyday...crazy to float it...the whole area on the south side of the bridge is flooded into the fields...not uncommen, but not a smart place to float right right now.
  7. We were on the rip rap. The bank on the left by the first parking spot. there are suppossed to be smallies in the lake...according to the sign at least, but we didn't have much luck on bass at all. there are hybrids, blue cats (say a guy with about 10lb'r), flatheads, gills, bass etc. the channels are all really small and your are encouraged to keep them or use them as bait is my understanding. my buddy was telling me boats sink often and people have died because of the wind...might be the windiest lake i have ever fished.
  8. exciting game for the blues again tonight and a 2-0 series lead.
  9. If the blues keep winning we might wipe out the first part of summer too. This spring has s-u-c-k-e-d
  10. the 4th line looks awesome right know. let's hope they can keep it up. Should be another great game tonight.
  11. Great looking Gils. Those big guys are a blast to catch. Congrats. You ever fish Baldwin lake near Red Bud? Holy cow is that place windy..4-5 foot waves...seriously unfishable even in moderate winds. However, you can catch little channel catfish on chamois flies all day long. Hundreds of them if you wanted. it is power plant lake so It is a catfish factory, and a nice place to fish in winter when everything is frozen over. Make sure there is no wind in the forecast.
  12. Whew..that game was a roller coaster last night. Big play in overtime with Steen capitializing on Quick's mistake. With the exception of overtime the Blues dominated. Gotta find a way to put the biscuiti in the basket against Quick..who was standing on his head last night.
  13. I was really hoping that $72,000 price was right!!! I can dream...
  14. My Uncle saw a young girl catch a big rainbow on a 10 inch plastic worm in the bait area at Bennett many years ago. One of his favorite stories to tell. A few years ago at Busch Wildlife I saw a young kid catch a rainbow...at midday on a popper in June. The fish was half dead, but it came right up and smacked it pretty good too. While not unconventional I have been swinging a lot more streamers my last couple of trips. Kind of my " I want to cover a lot of water, but I am lazy and I don't want to work that hard in the processs technique" Seems to be working pretty good.
  15. fly rodding for 12 inch bass and bluegill is the way to go at Busch. They don't stock any fish besides trout, catfish, and muskie on occasion. .
  16. The whole "it is my legal right and I am gonna do it" attitude is really kind of silly. Just because it is legal doesn't always mean it is the right thing to do. It seems some use the legal code as their moral code and think that is good enough. There is more to it IMO.
  17. I feel ya Mic. My neighbor and I rented a tractor last weekend and spent all day Saturday and Sunday clearing out a pile of dead trees from our yard's. It was nice of the builders to leave them behind for us...but that is another story. Today I am so sore it hurts when I answer the phone.
  18. yeah...on to football now. Mizzou should be better, but the lines ate the key. they have to stay healthy up front...they just don't have the depth to sustain injuries at that position. i am really interested to see henry josey run again...he was explosive before his knee injury a few years ago. Receiving core should be a strength.
  19. Pressey frustrated the heck out of me last year. I think staying another year would have benefitied him, but next year will be a transition year for Missouri....I would assume that played into his decision. I think he is a good player, but I am not going to miss his late game antics. I think making the tourney would be an accomplishiment enough for this team next year.
  20. nice pictures and great fish. Traffic was brutal at Tan Vat last Friday and Saturday. Kinda depressing. Hopefully, it was just the first nice weekend that brought everyone out.
