  1. Not anymore than you see at most other places in the state.
  2. Any parking on the 47 bridge lately? Last I heard you could not park their anymore.
  3. Awesome fish!
  4. Looks pretty good through midweek. I won't be able to get out unfortunately.
  5. Weekend looks pretty good, but late month and into February looks much colder than a few days ago.
  6. Yep, exactly why Haith left...he had nothing and was going to be fired unless he made the tourney this year. Kim, has a lot of work to do and it is going to take several years to right the ship. Last night was ugly...glad I switched to the Blues game.
  7. They do that buffer zone thing at Montauk each winter too. It is really retarded since that is precisely the spot the Browns get yanked out each summer. They seem to have it backwards.
  8. Nice pictures and reports. I really need to get out and fish....it has been September since I last fished. An 18th month old and another one on the way has made it tougher to find the time this winter.
  9. I agree...no loss for OU. They tried to get him on the field, but they new he was gone after this year...this shouldn't come as a surprise to them.
  10. His potential is through the roof. Will be interesting to see who takes a shot on him. I don't think he is a bad kid, but he had a lot of issues at MU that never made the press. Gonna be harder to stay away from that stuff with a bucket full of money. Hopefully, he learned his lesson.

    Go Tigers!

We only lose Murphy at running back and steward who was injured this year comes back. That gives hansborough, steward, abbington, witter, strong ( fr probably will go juco for a bit)), and doherty (fr may declare for mlb draft). We are seriously loaded at running back and i think i am missing a couple others. Wide receiver is a major concern IMO. Defense will be good again.

    Go Tigers!

Lets go Tigers! Ole Miss was a trainwreck...they haven't been the same team they were at the beginning of the year, but TCU came out firing.

    Go Arkansas

Good start...keep it up second half!
  14. Looks like Barry Odom is the new DC at Missouri. I like it.
  15. With the exception of a Caddis or a hopper of some kind my opinion on dry fly fishing on the Current is the smaller the better. 24 is the starting point for me and often I end up going smaller.
  16. The smallmouth regulations thread's are the best....Isn't it about that time of year?
  17. I hope we go after Odom from Memphis although Kuligowski would be fine too. I don't think Steckel had a chance at a mid major or power 5 type team, and this was the best he could get. He is getting his first shot at 57...not sure many programs at a mid major or power 5 take a shot on a first time head coach at that age. He clearly wanted to be a head coach though....he is taking a $350,000 pay cut to do so. It seems a bit odd, but hats off to him for going after what he wanted. I also the blowout in the two SEC championship games have something to do with it too.
  18. Alabama did play FL and won 42-21
  19. I like that. With regards to FSU and strength of schedule. I'd agree it wasn't that tough, but they did schedule Okie State, ND, and Florida. While those teams were down this year, they have no way of knowing that going in. The only real cupcake was Citadel. Baylor didn't really even attempt a tough out of conference schedule. Florida State and they haven't lost in 2 years. I think the real issue with the Big 12 was that they did not declare a conference champion and If it was me and I was on the committee that puts me in a bad spot and I think the Big 12 was "punished" for it. Bowlsby really screwed up and as we saw from Art Briles he clearly felt that way too. I have to think Bowlsby's job will be in jeopardy. TCU and Baylor suffer the same fate that a team like MU or any other non blue blood program who has success will suffer. It as much about perception as anything and it did not help that Texas, Okie State, and OU had down years. They just won't get credit for those wins just like MU didn't in a down east. In MU's case we found out the perception was correct...we overachieved. Without a conference title game...that question can't be answered for TCU or Baylor....and the committee went with a surging Ohio State. If I was Baylor I would be furious, but I think the committee got it right. TCU vs. Ole Miss will be a big game and I am sure TCU feels they have something to prove. In the end it really argues for an 8 team playoff, but not doubt Bowlsby really screwed Baylor and TCU. Anybody else wish the BCS formula was still intact, cause this was a mess for sure.
  20. I agree with all the sentiments. Bama was just a much better team. Shane Ray simply can't put himself in that position...that was the beginning of the end. Hope our young receivers step up cause next year has me a bit worried on the offensive side.
  21. I am pretty sure the citrus is the former capital one bowl so pretty much on par with the cotton bowl for pestige outside of the big six. Not a sexy matchup, but a good bowl for MU. I think Texas vs. Arkansas is going to be awesome...hope Arkansas smokes them. I actually think are lots of great matchups this year.
  22. Alabama played in the toughest division in football without question.
  23. I agree with all of you. This committee is absurd. While I don't think Mizzou should be in the top ten they should be higher than 16 IMO. A win over Alabama would probably be the best win that anybody has. I am not sure I have ever heard more negative/disrespectful reporting on a college team than Mizzou has received this year. I am not saying we are great team or even a playoff team, but we are pretty much dismissed by every media outlet. The SEC East is ranked as the third toughest division in football behind only the PAC 12 south and the SEC West.. If it is FL or TN....you wouldn't hear anything about the East being down. I really really hope we can find a way to win, but regardless of the result, this team is going to come out fired up. With Mauk's improving shoulder I think we might see a more aggressive offense....I think they turn him loose earlier instead of waiting until the 4th quarter.
  24. I could have sworn with a few minutes left in the game that BA mouthed to one of his lineman after a missed pass "I can't throw''. My wife even commented on it too. Anyway, your right though, unless your team wins, that is pretty much a lose/lose situation for a coach or player.
  25. A local radio station has been talking all year about how good mizzou has been against the spread the last several years. They have gone as far as to call it the easiest money in sports...not sure they remember indiania or georgia, but the spread is a sure sign of the poor public perception of Mizzou. Vegas doesn't care about which teams are better they just care about how the public is going to bet and sets the line accordingly. Vegas has made lots of money from mizzou games this year for sure!
