  5. If they modified the transom for a jet it would not be 16", it would be 20". You need more transom for a jet, not less.
  6. I feel like someone needs to bring a big pot of chili
  7. Jet transoms are 20" 16" transom would be for a short shaft motor.
  8. How many are showing up thursday night? I think so far from our group milo, DJ and maybe I am.
  9. Once he prices a starter for that motor he will probably decide he is fine pull starting it.
  10. nice report. finding reliable water seems to be rough. I fished monday at rim and the water came up quicker than anticipated.
  11. if the weather is the same as last year it would be perfect

  17. Anyone wanting to split cabin 22? Its the one we were mainly hanging out in last year.
  18. @Phil Lilley is the cabin we stayed in last year available? If so I bet I can get a few to split it with me
  19. Jigfest 2024 was one for the ages. thursday afternoon was rough until DJ/ray and I went down to the mouth of the Buffalo and fished the seam then we started hammering fish, but ran out of light. thursday night we had some finger foods while we waited on the chicken to get done in the smoker. Friday we went to rim, Ray fished with me, I caught a fish on my first cast. We had some good fish that first drift, but by the second drift water had turned yucky and was coming up so we all went down to Red's. Fishing started slow for me but Ray was nailing them, then I got in the groove and we ended up with a bunch of eaters. Friday night we had amazing fried catfish and potatoes, along with more trout dip and candied jalapeno/cream cheese. Saturday morning it rained so we took a nice lazy time with breakfast, which included backstrap which was amazing. We finally got on the water around 11:30 and just stayed at Buffalo city. We caught quite a few fish, then DJ caught the thickest 21" brown I have ever seen. After that the fishing slowed down and we went down to the mouth of the buffalo where we absolutely slayed the fish. Many times every cast we were hooking fish, nothing of any real size, but good fish. Saturday night I made gumbo which turned out great. I realized saturday night that you could tell how good the fishing was by how many hangovers there were...which was zero. sunday morning Daryk made an awesome breakfast with biscuits/gravy/sausage then DJ and I went up to rim to fish a couple hours and nailed the fish again. Several thick fish but nothing notable. I miss the days of 15-20 people jigfests, but having 5-6 was great too.
  20. I believe @Phil Lilley has it on the books for jan 31-feb1
  21. Bummer, hopefully we will see you at taneyfest?
  22. @Quillback are you going to come over?
  23. @LittleRedFisherman do we need to get oil for this weekend??
