  1. We are blessed to live in a rural area. Insulated from prosperity but also recession. I would not trade it for anything
  2. I will be fine, I am just livid that I have to isolate until friday. Luckily the camper is set up at the ranch. I could take a test now but it wouldn't be accurate.
  3. I am down for thursday night-sun.
  4. Mountain home has the rapid tests now. I have to take one friday, a woman who sits right by me tested positive today.
  5. Wish I could.

    No Butcher

All the processors are too busy doing good paying jobs(cows/hogs) so they aren't taking deer. They have been totally booked since covid. We butchered a hog last week, and my cousin made an appointment for a cow for NEXT december.
  9. So what are our numbers at for this year? Who all still coming? @LittleRedFisherman have you decided if your coming yet?
  10. Back to the food...I am gonna bring a sampler of sausage we made this weekend.
  11. I have not missed any work yet.
  12. Boo. I will wear a mask then.
  13. I will be fine taking a test before hand then as well, or any time you want to go fish.
  14. I 100% understand. Being high risk you should take no chances. I will still be attending and staying at the riley's, and I am still open to taking a test the day before or whatever it will take to make people feel more comfortable.
  15. I agree, the fishing is way better. I highly suggest getting in touch with Justin Spencer. He will be able to hook you up with local flies, tecniques and he guides.
  16. We are making 130lb of pork sausage so there is a strong possibility some will make its way to this event.
  17. Kevlar has great wear characteristics and since it has to be vacuum bagged there is guaranteed to be no voids are imperfections in the layup. If I floated as much as I say I wanted too I would own it 😆
  18. Thats what I was thinking, too beautiful to beat up on the creek
  19. I am down to judge some chili!
  20. I am perfectly fine with that. As long as we can hang out and have some semblance of normalcy
  21. Well I will be sure to smoke more wings for this year. Ceviche again as well. If I manage to pull off a tuna trip between now and then I will bring some.
  22. So should we plan on eating outside to keep the risk down or just social distance?
  23. I wish this wasn't true.
  24. I am just an ignorant country person, but since January I have been to Louisiana, Mississippi twice, Texas three times, and go to cloud 9 ranch almost every weekend and have experienced zero issues. Every place I have been too has had lax or non existent mask requirements, including cloud 9 which has none. We have members from as far away as California and last weekend there was easily 3500 people there 😮 Whats all this mean? Two things. One is in big cities have chosen to live bunched up and are now learning the errors of their ways. "Social distancing" is not a new idea. Just watch people standing in line in a city vs country, we value our personal space. The other is I refuse to let the government use fear to control me in anything. I am anxiously waiting for a call to head to biloxi and go tuna fishing, and we are renting a house in texas for a week between christmas and new years. Life is great, and you better enjoy all of it you can now because nothing is guaranteed.
  25. Saturday we(my kids, my adopted brothers and sisters) were at my camper enjoying the beautiful sunshine when my mom pulled up very agitated because the kids were not wearing their masks. I told her we were all 6ft away so it shouldnt matter and she rebutted saying that she heard on the news that it doesnt matter. I basically have to stay away from my mother because of this. EVERYONE else in the family is normal(about covid anyways) but she has gone off the deep end.
