  1. When I read the title I was thinking more of a list. I never get on the rivers on the weekends so I dont know how it is, but when I am out on mondays I hardly ever see anyone.
  2. I have a converted boat trailer that I use that I have a whopping $200 in, but I have hauled canoes in the back of my truck with the tailgate down countless times with no trouble.
  3. I usually carry a bag full of everything, mainly because I am trying to learn new techniques, not just use what has worked in the past. Getting stuck using one type of lure will limit your versatility. Used to, I would fish cranks exclusively, and did good. Year before last I started using jerkbaits alot and did good. Last year was the year of the plastic, and did great. This year will be the year of the finesse worm.
  4. He makes a good point. You can rent a boat for $80 a day.
  5. I have grown fond of Denali rods, mainly because they are made fairly locally and sold in mtn home. warranty replacement is easy as pie. In the Canoe I carry 4-5 rods 7' cranking rod 7' jig rod 6'6" jerkbait/spinnerbait rod 6'6" tube jig spinning rod I have no problem casting those rods on waters as small as the southfork river.
  6. wal mart carries trolling motor props too.
  7. I used to run a 50hp evinrude on a 1648 jon boat with no troubles with 3 units online at least. You have to be careful and be very mindful of hazards. Those bass trackers will run some shallow water for a big boat. My neighbor has a pro 17 and it will take off and plane in 2ft of water. what part are you planning on fishing?
  8. just about everywhere will be muddy right now, we had 5" of rain yesterday and another inch today.
  9. I have a pet snapper that loves nightcrawlers.
  10. they are native to this area.
  11. Lake norfork is sitting within 3ft of where it was last year when all this crap happened.
  12. I use 6-8lb on my spinning reels and 8-10lb on my baitcasters.
  13. I really like the 11pt, its a great river.
  14. I love catching pickerel. I have a spot that has always produced them...between riverton and the narrows. The biggest I have landed was 22" but I have had a couple hooked up that were bigger.
  15. the fishery on the 11pt is great. I like the section between riverton and the narrows.
  16. I am pretty methodical I guess, I like to pick apart every nook and cranny of a 5 mile float. I am torn on the first question though. Generally I catch 20+ fish on a good day with a 18" fish in the mix.
  17. interdasting. I will be seeing you on a upcoming monday.
  18. If I wanted to fish bryant could I rent it then go over there to use it?
  19. it sucks that a mere technicality like that will ruin it for him and the fish. The true injustice is the fish died for naught.
  20. I have a 16ft buffalo that I solo. I like it alot. I built a seat that sits right in the middle of the canoe. We have had the buffalo for 3 years or so.
  21. I could certainly meet up with yall for a sunday float or monday, Depending on the water levels there are a couple really good creeks nearby.
  22. the strawberry is one I would like to explore this year, it starts right by my house.
  23. thats understandable. I have floated from bakers ford to gilbert, buffalo point to rush, and rush to the white and there is definitely unmatched scenery
