  1. right now you can get in the grand anywhere from bucksaw to long shoal fiish ant big hardwood trees in 15' to 25' down 12' to 15' with a minnow with a number 2 splitshot and i will guarntee you will not eat beef.
  2. bimmer shaker pretty much hit the nail on the head. i prefer either the osage or the grand arms. had a trip on thursday and friday and had alot of fun in the tebo just off the main river channel on the flats where it went from 35fow to 20 fow about 15ft down.i know alot of the other guys fishing in the rivers are catching them as shallow as 2ft deep on jigs in about everything that shaker said. i would recommend extreme caution also first time in 4 yrs the lake has been this low fished this lake since it was flooded and things are changing trees have broke off and now laying across some the channels tree rows etc. if you dip enough yrees you will catch them good luck
  3. it was the cabelas tournament.
  4. i was actually in that tournament. that is all true and they handcuffed him in front of evertbody and took him away. was very arrogant about it also. they can take his license but a guy like that dont care he will fish anyway but not around here at truman any longer. several of the charges carry jail time and they are doing everything to make them stick
  5. go crappie they are biting
  6. we go through this every year about this time if there is no water running it will get better when all those little fry get eatin hang in there
  7. sounds about right to me truman is that high
  8. looks like they are shutting the water off tonite. they were several concrete trucks down there today so they must be finishing up the repairs on the flood gates. They are supposed to be done by june 1st dont know if that what the cause was.
  9. go up the little pomme fish the pocket on the right with the road bed in it. also you can go farther up the lil pomme in the back before the bridge there is good pocket on the left. if you stay in the lil pomme and head toward the main lake stay left of the island fish the two pockets in the channel swing. not as good today as yesterday. kinda had to work for them today.
  10. in a boat or off the bank???
  11. Phil just curious what did the water temps do. Thanks glad you all ok
  12. water temps are about 61 lakewide unless you go up the major creeks
  13. might check with local high school the one here in warsaw has a fishing team great organization
  14. crappie right on the banks mostly males a few females are starting to show up should be good. dont count out berry bend either. more females showing up overthere. 1/16th roadrunner or a jig and float.
  15. bill go to the major creeks proctor, rainy lick big and lil buffalo any channel swing spinnerbait or jig. the water is right for there not table rock water thow 1/2 ounce spinnerbait with a 4 nickel and 5 gold double willow and a blk/blu 3/8 ounce jig with a number 1 blk/blu pork chunk visibility is about 10 inches in this area alot of the fish are moving behind the docks
  16. aorry about that i meant 83 hwy
  17. are right off hwy
  18. yes it is phil the grand arm and the osage are probadly the most consistant. the fall and spring you can catch alot of keepers in the tebo. The pomme arm has alot of black crappie or specks. We are really nice crappies right now in the mid to lower grand. They are moving alot right now i would think if the weather would stabailize they will be on the banks in a week or two
  19. everyone that i seen today were catching them
  20. If they canceled all tournaments then they should cancel all boating on the lake. Im sure that a bass boat at 70 mph puts out a lot less wake than a 41 foot sea ray at 15 mph or a pontoon at 15 mph. I would rather have bass boats in a tournament than a helicopter flying around dropping stuff out and having people chase after them. jmo
  21. Thet are starting to bite. Aound the mid lake in the osage on the deeper docks in the deeper creeks.
  22. I was just there it looks like you can put in at the old city ramp. There was 1 boat putting in there today.Drake Harbor ramp is iced in and the ramp in the dead water is iced in. Hope that helps
  23. fished again today 3 of us limited out in hour and a half nothing under 11 inches they all came from 19 foot little breezy where we had been catching them at just got out of the wind across from shawnee bend and caught them
  24. The crappie are really biting this winter any bluff on the lower end fish 20 to25 feet down. They are everywhere and some reallt nice fish
