snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I've fished with the gates open and we used 1/4 ounce white jigs on 10 lb flouro. We had a heck of a day. SIO3
Danoinark Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Is outlet one still there? Leonard if you catch a trout on a PMS with 10 gates open at #1 YOU will be the Consumate TROUTBUM..... Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Forsythian Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Drove by about 6:30 pm and there were still "just" 5 gates open... the water color was a nice aqua green, and the Cooper Creek ramp was getting some use. Cenosillicaphobiac
patfish Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I could have sworn that Phil was getting photos/vids from Bill..... Did he drop your camera in the drink Phil?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 20, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted March 20, 2008 Here's 5 gates. Boat ramp. What came out of one rainbow's mouth. I got video but having trouble caturing it. We caught several trout on egg flies and scud. A couple of jigs but not many. Tried to stay where we knew was gravel and shallower water. Did well from Andy's house down too.
zsmith62 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Out of curiosity.... How will the gates being open effect the lake bottom after the water recedes? Will any of the gravel wash away? Zach Smith
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 20, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted March 20, 2008 I'm sure they will be some movement but not major.
Bman Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Thanks for posting the pics. I've only seen those gates open once before. The only good line is a tight line
soggyfeet Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 With the gates open what will that do to the water temp and the the trout in the upper section of the lake? Brian
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 21, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted March 21, 2008 Not much of a temp difference- over the top or thru the turbines.
