ILLEGAL

There are two types of people. Those who dream dreams and wish, then there are the do'ers. I am a do'er!

In my opinion it should be Illegal. Part of the art of fly fishing is the ability, to read the water, read feeding trends, create effective flies, master presentation, and to single out a certain type, size, or species. If we are going to support shuffling we lower standards of the art, and as unfortunately in society today lower the skills and knowledge required to pursue this sport. We don't need fly fishing for dummies.

illegal but better education should be implimented for first time fishers on taney I can remember when I moved to springfield and went to taney for the first time. I saw people drifting indicators right next to their feet I asked one guy what they were biting on and he told me to shuffle my feet and it wouldnt matter. Mind you that I have been flyfishing for some time and just thought it sounded unsportsman like but thats the kind of education new fisherman are getting

It is an ethical issue. There no reason to waste ink on law that is nearly unenforcable.

"but Officer, I wasn't shuffling, I was trying to clean the fish poop from my feet" :D
